Feeling Festive

Sweater: J. Crew, Scarf: Madewell, Pants: Express, Shoes: Vince Camuto, Bag: Tory Burch
Happy Monday loves! Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving! Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for today's post. It was such a nice break and I'm sad it's over. At least we have Christmas to look forward to now! Thanksgiving day we spent eating too much and Black Friday shopping at night. Friday was the Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center with my friend Nicole. It was absolutely GORGEOUS! If you have the opportunity to see the Joffrey Ballet, I would highly recommend it. The show was absolutely magical! And last but not least-Clemson won AGAIN on Saturday so I was pretty happy about that!

I also did a lot of shopping and can't wait to share what I got from all of the awesome sales. Most of the items in this post are on sale right now! This turtleneck from J.Crew Factory is SO soft and cozy. I am loving red this year--maybe just because I like how it looks with my dark hair! This scarf from Madewell is also on sale and it has to be my new favorite scarf. I wore it on Thanksgiving day with a black flowy top and my black leather jacket. If you're looking for a scarf to wear during the holidays, this one is perfection!

---Just wanted to mention that everything looks sort of orange in these photos but the turtleneck and scarf are a deep red color!

Fall Cozy

Vest: Zara, Shirt: Free People, Pants: J. Crew, Shoes: Dolce Vita (25% off!), Lip Color: Revlon ColorBurst "Provocateur" (OBSESSED), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Woohoo! It's the day before Thanksgiving! I could not be more excited for food, family and Black Friday shopping! Love how I listed food first #priorities. Like I mentioned in Monday's post, we are going to my aunt's house tomorrow. She lives about twenty minutes away which is so nice! My parents come down from Maryland (they're only about 45 minutes away) and my cousin is home from Virginia Tech. It's nice being so close to family! Once Steven graduates, if we move, that's something I'll definitely miss.

I'm at work in the morning then in the afternoon I'll be finishing the day from home while simultaneously roasting brussel sprouts and I think I might give this yummy dessert a try! Who doesn't love crescent rolls?

Posting another outfit today with my awesome faux fur vest from Zara! I just love this vest and am getting a lot of use out of it this season. Also, how darn cute is this henley from Free People? I LOVE the knitted cuffs. It's so cozy and this whole outfit reminds me of something you would wear to a ski lodge!

Anyway--I am going to try to get a post up on Friday but if not, I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving and rest of your holiday week!

Black on Black

Top: Sun & Shadow, Scarf: Ann Taylor, Leggings: Zella, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: Kate Spade (old, similar here), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Happy Monday loves! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for today's post! Unfortunately, I was sick most of this weekend so it was pretty much just Netflix and going out to do the occasional blog shoot. I'm starting to feel a little better so I'm grateful I got this cold out of the way before Thanksgiving! We are going to my Aunt's house for Thanksgiving and we'll be spending the day there. We usually do Black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving night which I'm really excited for. Then Friday is the Nutcracker!

This top is the cutest! It has a super feminine chiffon detail at the bottom. Y'all know I love basics like this that have a little something extra and it's under $40. I also love this scarf from Ann Taylor. It's so classic and goes with almost everything in my closet. It's great to wear to work and is so cozy!

Do y'all have any fun plans for Thanksgiving?!

My Favorite Blanket Scarves

Happy Friday loves! Over the last few months, my obsession with blanket scarves has grown immensely and I feel like I can't go a day without pairing a scarf with my outfit! Blanket scarves were popular last year but this year they have really boomed. I wanted to share a couple of my favorites in this post and also a couple on my wish list! I thought this would be fun if you're wanting to buy one or if you need some holiday gift ideas.

Fluffy Vest

Shirt: J. Crew, Vest: Asos (sold out, similar here), Jeans: Joe's, Booties: J. Crew (old, identical here), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Happy Wednesday lovelies! Hope you're having a great week so far. I apologize for the short post--I'm writing this while simultaneously prepping a training presentation for work!

I got this vest from Asos a couple months ago and thought it was so adorable and it's super cozy. It's sort of another take on a shearling vest! Also, while J. Crew has had a lot of sales running lately, I wanted to mention that if you are looking for awesome flannels/plaid shirts, J. Crew is my favorite. They're great quality and are so cozy for the fall and winter! This one is especially cozy because it is a thicker flannel material. I just thought I would mention because I feel like flannels are fall/winter essentials!

Leopard & Beige

Beanie: Kate Spade, Sweater: Zara, Jacket: J. Crew, Jeans: Express, Shoes: Vince Camuto, Bag: Tory Burch, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Lip Color: Kate Von D "Lolita"
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful, safe weekend. I'm sure many of you were rocked by the events in Paris on Friday. My prayers go out to everyone affected by this horrible tragedy!

I'm linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for today's post! We had a really nice, relaxed weekend. Most of it was spent indoors because it is starting to feel like winter in Virginia! I'm hoping it warms up but unfortunately I think it's all downhill from here. I did get my haircut this weekend like I mentioned in Friday's post! You can't see it well here but I do like it a lot. At first I really wasn't feeling it, but I realized it was because it wasn't parted correctly! Do y'all ever have that issue? It's such a pet peeve of mine when someone messes with my part! #firstworldproblems

I saw this hat on Kate Spade's website and thought it was so adorable! It will go with everything in my wardrobe especially since this camel color has been on repeat all season. The hat has a cute little bow on the back which is what sold me. Also--these oversized sweaters from Zara are my absolute favorite! I feel like that is saying a lot because I have a closet full of awesome basic sweaters--but these are just the best. I love the length and how lightweight they are. Plus--Zara always has an awesome price point. If you need some good every day sweaters, I highly recommend these!

My Fall/Winter Face Routine

Happy Friday! I'm happy the week is over although we did have Wednesday off so I can't complain too much. Do y'all have any fun plans for the weekend? With your encouragement, I decided that I am going to chop my hair off! I am doing a shoulder-length bob and I'm really excited. If I hate it, I at least have plenty of time to grow it back out before the wedding!

I wanted to get another outfit post up but this week sort of got away from me! It makes it even harder to shoot outfit posts with it getting dark so early--plus I heavily rely on Steven's schedule since he takes all my pictures. I thought this would be a fun post instead! I love seeing foundation routines and with the Sephora VIB sale I thought this was a good opportunity. I want to preface this by telling you that I have INCREDIBLY dry skin. I have eczema so my face is always horribly dry thus I am only using products that are super hydrating.
Primer-I just bought this Make Up For Ever Nourishing Primer during the VIB Rouge sale and I can tell it's going to be a staple! It's really hydrating and definitely helps make my foundation last.
Foundation-Over the last few months I have been wearing either the Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation or the Too Faced Born This Way. However, my favorite is mixing them together! They're gorgeous on their own but when you mix them, it's a match made in heaven (especially for someone who is dry)!
Concealer-This Urban Decay Concealer has been my favorite since it first came out! Super hydrating and I love the applicator.
Under-Eye Highlight/Contour-When I set my under-eye area I like to use a yellow powder. I had been using the Anastasia Banana Powder, but just recently switched over to this Marc Jacobs Light Filtering duo. The yellow powder is amazing! It's so smooth and really brightens under your eyes. I also use the contour shade after I apply my bronzer to add more definition to my cheekbones.
Bronzer-After I originally bought this Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion bronzer, I hated it! I felt like it wasn't applying any color to my cheeks unless I literally jammed the brush into the powder. I read some reviews and found that it was the brush I was using. If you try this product, make sure to use a more dense brush! Once I switched brushes, I fell in love. This is a very natural bronzer and makes my skin look like it's glowing. I love it!
Blush-I change up my blush pretty much every day, but year round I am constantly reaching for Nars "Madly." It's a gorgeous terracotta shade and I just love how it goes with any make-up look.
Highlight-During the Fall/Winter months, for some reason I'm not into a super intense highlight. I prefer something more subtle that just makes you look like you're glowing. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders are incredible! I have the Luminous Light powder and the palette. I switch off between them almost every day. I will definitely be wearing Luminous Light on my wedding day!
Setting-The Urban Decay Chill Setting Spray has been my holy grail setting spray for a couple years now. I love the cooling sensation and how it adds extra hydration at the end! It also makes your foundation look even more flawless.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I would love to hear any recommendations you have for someone with dry skin--I'm always looking for new and better products. Have a wonderful weekend!

Shades of Taupe & Royal Scout & Co. Collab

Sweater: BP., Pants: J. Crew, Necklace: Baublebar, Hat: Sold Out (almost identical here), Boots: Ralph Lauren,
Boot Cuffs: Royal Scout & Co. "Golden Bear" (c/o)
Happy Hump Day lovelies! I am super excited about today's post because Royal Scout & Co. reached out to me a couple weeks ago and asked me to feature their adorable faux fur boot cuffs! I instantly said yes because I thought these cuffs looked so adorable. They are a great way to add a little something extra to any outfit AND they feel nice and cozy when paired with your favorite boots.

As you can see here, the cuffs are attached to a sock but the sock itself doesn't go all the way down around your foot. I actually LOVE this because it gives you the option to wear whatever socks you want under your boots. They come in three different shades of faux fur-Golden Bear (which is what I'm wearing here), Black Bear, and Grey Wolf. You can wear them with almost any type of boot which can be seen on their website.

Royal Scout & Co. was kind enough to give my readers a 15% off promotion code. The code is active for a week so if you're interested in buying these adorable cuffs, use the code "royalrosyoutlook" at checkout. I know y'all will love them as much as I already do!

--Also quickly wanted to mention that you can get my monogrammed necklace from Baublebar 30% off today!

30% Off Personalized Styles!
I was gifted some items in this post, however all opinions are my own.

Fall Pink

Sweater: J. Crew, Jeans: Joe's, Boots: Dolce Vita (25% off), Bag: Tory Burch (old style, similar here), Necklace: Kendra Scott
Happy Monday everyone! Hope y'all had a fabulous weekend. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston today! The weather was gorgeous on Friday and Sunday so we tried to enjoy it as much as possible. All the stores this weekend put out their Christmas decor so the holiday spirit completely washed over me. I'm also beyond excited because one of my best friends and I just bought tickets to go see The Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center on Black Friday! I have been wanting to go ever since we moved back to the DC area and I am literally counting down the days until the show. I need to find the perfect dress! (Everything is an excuse to shop.)

I saw this sweater at J. Crew and loved it because I feel like this bright orchid color isn't something you would typically pick for fall. It works so well though! I love the bright pop of color in contrast to my all neutral fall wardrobe. Also, how perfect are these over-the-knee boots? I previously had a similar pair in taupe but ended up exchanging them for this camel color. I'm obsessed and they're 25% off right now!

Side note--I'm thinking about chopping my hair off and doing a long bob! Think Kristin Cavallari's new haircut. I need your opinions!

Weekend Wish List

Scarf, Sunglasses, Blush, Tote, Perfume, Wreath, iPhone Case, Earrings, Candle
Happy Friday lovelies! Linking up with Amanda from Meet @ The Barre today! This week really flew by but I'm totally fine with that because we're getting that much closer to Thanksgiving and then Christmas! Some VERY exciting news--Steven's brother and sister-in-law welcomed a beautiful baby girl on Wednesday. We're so thrilled for them and as an only child, I'm especially excited because I truly didn't know if I would ever have the chance to be blessed with nieces and nephews. I can't wait to officially be her aunt!

As I'm posting this, there are SO many great sales going on. Nordstrom is having their Fall Clearance Sale which includes some awesome items. Also, if you're VIB Rouge at Sephora (aka spend too much money there like me) you get exclusive first access to their Holiday Shopping Event which is 20% off all purchases. This is one of the sales I get most excited for and I'll definitely be purchasing the NARS "Dolce Vita" blush on my wish list. It looks like a gorgeous mauve/rose blush which will be perfect for fall/winter.

Not sure if any of you have had a chance to check out Gal Meets Glam's collab with Baublebar but all the items in that collection are gorgeous! These Bliss Drop earrings are STUNNING and I definitely want them once they're back in stock. She's one of my favorite bloggers and I love Baublebar so this is a match made in heaven!

I have been hearing a lot about the Jo Malone scent in "Wood Sage & Sea Salt" lately so I think that will be my Christmas gift request from Steven. Have any of you tried Jo Malone? What is your favorite scent?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Plum Denim

Sweater: Lush (sold out, similar here), Jeans: Paige Denim (Autumn Plum color sold out), Booties: Vince Camuto, Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Bag: Tory Burch (new style here), Lipstick: Nars "Anna"
Happy Hump Day! This week has already been SO much better than last. Things have sort of calmed down at work and the weather has been gorgeous here! There is a historic Civil War battleground near our apartment and it is just stunning with all the leaves changing. It's the perfect place to walk Toby and sip my favorite Chai Tea Latte from Whole Foods. I honestly feel like I could do a whole blog post ranking Chai Tea Latte. Starbucks actually has my least favorite but it's so convenient and is still delicious. It's my absolute favorite every day caffeine fix. I quit coffee about a year ago because it was giving me such bad acid reflux and have been all about the Chai since!

Now that I'm done rambling about my obsession with Chai Tea lattes, these Paige Denim pants are my favorite for fall! I bought these during one of the Nordstrom sales and unfortunately, it looks like this Autumn Plum color is sold out everywhere. I did link to the exact same pants but in a STUNNING burgundy shade. Is it bad that I want this color too? I have talked a lot about how Paige jeans are my favorite and they are 100% worth every penny. Also--how ADORABLE are these Vince Camuto booties? I love that they have a taller heel than the other booties in my collection and this chocolate brown shade is gorgeous. I have worn them a bunch over the last week and they're actually really comfortable!

Perfect Poncho

Poncho: Echo, Tee: BP, Pants: Topshop, Shoes: Aldo. Hat: David & Young, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Happy Monday lovelies! Hope you enjoyed your weekend and had a great Halloween. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston & Style Elixir for today's post! We had a super relaxing, low-key Halloween. First, Steven and I carved pumpkins (a little last minute, I know). At night, we just had some friends over for wine, yummy food, and scary movies. We watched "The Descent" which was pretty terrifying! It definitely had me jumping the whole time. I honestly just can't believe Halloween was already come and gone. This year is just flying by!

I wore this outfit pretty much all day on Saturday and stayed so nice and cozy. This poncho is great because it is so simple and goes with almost anything. I loved pairing it with these burgundy accessories! As I'm sure you can tell, I live in floppy hats during the fall and winter. This one is less than $30 and is that perfect burgundy/wine color.

I would love to hear what y'all did for Halloween!
