July 4th Inspo

Shirt: ASTR via Nordstrom, Shorts: J. Crew, Shoes: Dolce Vita, Tote: Street Level, Necklace: Baublebar
Hope everyone had such a fun weekend! Today I wanted to share a little outfit inspiration for Fourth of July-and of course, it incorporates an off-shoulder shirt! The sleeves on this shirt are what sold me. I'm not a huge fan of wearing red so I just incorporated a red lip. I love how effortless and comfortable this look is while still being sort of trendy.

Also-how cute is this gemstone pendant necklace? They just came out with these at Baublebar and I want one in every color. I am tempted to order the purple one next. I am really impressed with the quality for the price! This bag from Nordstrom is also my new obsession and it is under $50! It is reversible and I will be doing a post later this week using the black side of the bag.

Happy Monday!

Floral Romper

Romper: ASTR via Nordstrom, Wedges: Michael Kors (on sale!), Bag: Tory Burch (no longer sold, similar here)
This romper from ASTR is one of my favorite purchases ever! I absolutely love the print and how flattering it is on my figure. It is so perfect for a dinner date or even a summer wedding. I think it is still being sold on Nordstrom's website but the sizes are limited. The ones that are left are on sale though so make sure to check it out. I did link to it in the caption above!

Also, if you're looking for a great pair of wedges, these Michael Kors ones are so stinkin' cute! They come in three different colors. I was tempted to order the brown ones too but I restrained myself and just got the white ones. Oh--and they're also on sale right now!

I am also beyond excited because I just got my new camera delivered yesterday! It is the Nikon D3200 and I am already so impressed with it. I can't wait to start using it for my blog posts to get even better quality photos on here!

White Tee & Jeans

Shirt: H&M, Jeans: Paige Denim (on Sale!), Bralette: Victoria's Secret, Shoes: Dolce Vita (also on sale!), Tote: Tory Burch, Necklaces: Dogeared & Baublebar
One outfit that will never go out of style is just a simple white t-shirt and jeans! I know this outfit isn't super creative on my behalf, but I really just wanted to feature these jeans. They are Paige Denim and I purchased mine from Nordstrom. I will be honest, they are pretty pricey. But I have never worn a pair so comfortable in my life! They are even more comfortable than my Topshop Joni jeans which are my absolute favorite. These Paige jeans literally feel like pajamas, they are SO incredibly soft. Part of me wishes I had never discovered them because I feel like I want to buy every pair!

Nordstrom is running their summer sale and a bunch of the Paige jeans are marked down (including the ones I'm wearing here). Definitely grab these jeans while they're marked down. Also, these Dolce Vita shoes are my favorite sandals right now and they are marked down as well!

Summer Boho

Kimono: Lulu's (I don't see this one on the site anymore, similar here), Shorts: Tobi. Shoes: J. Crew (from last season, similar here), Bag: Free People (old, similar here), Necklace: Kendra Scott
Hope everyone had such a great weekend! I lounged by the pool pretty much the entire weekend and got to spend quality time with my family for Father's day. I have to say I'm pretty obsessed with this outfit! This kimono from Lulu's is so adorable and I haven't had a chance to wear it yet this season. I don't see it on their site anymore but they have a ton of similar lacy white kimonos. It will pair so great with a couple of rompers I have and would look super cute with really light denim jeans.

These shorts from Tobi are also really great if you're looking for a good pair of distressed high-waisted shorts. I'm really impressed with the quality and I'm pretty sure they are running a 50% off sitewide sale! I think this outfit would be perfect for a summer concert or festival!

My 5 Summer Make-Up Picks

Today I just thought I would share a couple of my favorite summer make-up products. I have been really loving five in particular!

1.) Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base: This cream bronzer is absolutely stunning and I am so glad I invested in it. It's a little pricey but I can tell it is going to last me a LONG time (like...years!). I had a Macy's gift card and it was the first thing that came to mind to use it on. Cream bronzers give such a natural, sun-kissed glow to the skin and this one is definitely my favorite.
2.) Mac Blush in Sunbasque: Mac blushes are so great and pigmented! Sunbasque is the perfect color for summer. It's a pretty terracotta color with a slight sheen to it, adding to that summer glow.
3.) Bobbi Brown "Bronze Glow" Highlighter: Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure this was limited edition over Christmas. I'm hoping they will come back out with it again in the near future because it is such a beautiful bronze highlight that will work for so many different skin tones. I am linking one of their other shimmer bricks here that looks like it may be similar!
4.) Urban Decay "Half-Baked" Eye Shadow: If any of you are like me and were obsessed with the first Naked palette (I still am!), then you probably have seen this shadow before. I am obsessed with gold shadows all over the lid with a matte brown in the crease (especially in the summer with bronze skin) and "Half-Baked" is my favorite gold shadow of all time. I have tried ones from Lorac, Make-Up Geek, Bobbi Brown, etc. and this is still my all-time favorite. I was so excited when I saw they sold it in singles.
5.) Buxom "Sophia" Lip Polish: For all you brown haired/olive toned girls out there, I have found that really pale bright pinks aren't the most flattering on us. I love pink lips though! They're so feminine and so pretty on other people. I have found that the most flattering "pink" lip for my skin tone/coloring is a pink that has more mauve or rosy undertones. This Buxom Lip Polish in "Sophia" pairs so well with mauve and rose lipsticks! It is absolutely stunning for summer and I actually think this would be a great gloss for any brides in search of a great neutral pink.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Summer Blues

Top: BB Dakota, Pants: Gap, Shoes: From a boutique-Old (similar here), Bag: Longchamp (gunmetal), Necklace: Kendra Scott, Lipstick: Urban Decay "Obsessed"
Isn't this BB Dakota top the cutest? I have mentioned several times that off-shoulder tops/dresses/etc. are my obsession this summer and I wasn't kidding! This pattern is so stunning and I love how it pairs with white. Since the pattern of the top incorporates a lot of blue shades, it pairs really well with a cooler toned pink lip. This is one of my favorite bright pinks for summer!

I bought this top from a site called Threadsence. If you haven't heard of it, I definitely recommend checking them out. They have really gorgeous boho pieces and carry some great brands like BB Dakota and Show Me Your Mumu. They also always have great deals and offers. You automatically get 20% off your first purchase after plugging in your email which is great!

Boyfriend Shirt

Shirt: Forever 21, Shorts: J. Crew, Shoes: Jack Rogers, Bag: Tory Burch  (pink color sold out), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Necklaces: Baublebar and Dogeared

Hope everyone had a relaxing and fun weekend! Summer weekends are the best especially for having a fun dinner/movie date night. This weekend Steven and I went to go see Jurassic World and it was amazing! I have been obsessed with the Jurassic Park movies since the first one came out when I was little. I'm such a sci-fi nerd so it's right up my alley!

This is the outfit I wore on our date night. This boyfriend button-down shirt is super affordable! I had not been to Forever 21 in a long time and was so impressed with some of their summer items. This shirt is actually really great quality for the price and is so effortless for summer. It would also look cute unbuttoned paired with a white dress or even just to throw on with a bathing suit. Slouchy/boyfriend jeans, button-downs, tees, etc. are such a cute and comfortable trend.

Summer Essentials

iPhone Case: Kate Spade, Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana, Romper: Topshop, Lipstick: YSL, Hat: One Kings Lane, Wallet: Tory Burch, Earrings: Kendra Scott, Wedges: Michael Kors (on sale!)

Today I thought I would share with you a couple of my summer picks! Summer is the time to add bright pops of color into your wardrobe so my picks focus on neutral colors paired with colorful accessories. As tempting as it is to wear white everything during the summer, I always try to throw in a colorful pair of earrings or a bright pink lipstick.

Also, these Michael Kors wedges are super comfortable and on sale. A good pair of wedges is a staple in your summer wardrobe. Make sure to check them out soon. I noticed some sizes are starting to sell out or get backordered!

Hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend!

Romping Around

Romper: J. Crew Factory, Shoes: Vans, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Bag: Longchamp
As soon as I saw this romper on J. Crew's website, I knew I had to have it. Not only am I addicted to rompers, but the mixed patterns were too adorable to resist! It's really versatile and I primarily bought it to wear when we went to the beach, but I love how I styled it here as well. The material is light but high-quality making it SO comfortable to wear.

Also, I have to give another shout-out to my white vans. I have been wearing these SO much. They were a great investment and I'm so glad I bought them. It's so easy to slide into them to run out the door and they look so fun with almost any outfit. One last shout-out to my Kendra Scott necklace that I am wearing in this post and the last post. I have already mentioned Kendra Scott several times but her jewelry is just the epitome of everything I love! A variety of gemstones in simplistic settings-what's not to love? If you haven't already, I definitely recommend checking out her collection!

Linking up with Mix & Match Fashion and Pink Sole!

Peasant Top

Top: Sun & Shadow via Nordstrom, Jeans: Topshop, Shoes: Dolce Vita, Bag: Tory Burch (Older style, similar here), Bracelets: Sequin, Lipstick: Bite Beauty "Quince"
Hope everyone had such a relaxing and fun weekend! If you're like me, weekends are my time to completely decompress. This past weekend we got to enjoy the weather and do some fun things outdoors. We always are trying to find new, pretty places to take Toby for long walks and we stumbled on this really neat bee farm! You can't tell from this photo but there are swarms of bees behind me (terrifying but so cool!)

The top I'm wearing here and the shoes I'm wearing are on sale on Nordstrom's website so make sure to check it out! These Dolce Vita shoes I absolutely adore. They are comfortable and will go with almost anything in my wardrobe. I love how they paired with this peasant top and my Tory Burch hobo. They are definitely my new summer staple.

Green Hues

Top: Stem @ Nordstrom, Shorts: J. Crew (majorly marked down!), Bralette: Free People, Sandals: J. Crew, Bag: Kate Spade, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
As I’m sure you can tell at this point, I am really into flowy basic tops. If I could pick my perfect, everyday outfit, it would be a pair of comfortable jeans, a flowy basic top, and dressing it up with fun accessories. This top specifically is from Nordstrom and is really affordable. It comes in a variation of colors but I was really into this Olive green color. Olive pairs well with black, brown, white and jeans so you can have a lot of outfit variation.

I will say that when it comes to wardrobe staples like your everyday basic tops, jeans and shoes, I think it is important to pay attention to quality and to maybe spend a little more than you would on other items. These are the things you’ll be wearing the most and can transition season to season.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Pool Day

Kimono: BCBG (this pattern is sold out, similar here), Romper: Lulu's, Bag: Tory Burch, Shoes: Jack Rogers, Earrings: J. Crew
This weekend the weather was absolutely gorgeous in DC so we spent most of it lounging by the pool. This romper and kimono pairing I am absolutely in love with. Rompers are so easy for the summer and I love throwing them over my bathing suits. There is something about wearing a really flowy kimono over a romper that makes the outfit feel super boho and chic.

I have also been using this Tory Burch bag nonstop since early Spring. Normally, I prefer more neutral bags but this fuchsia color is to die for. I think this color is sold out on the site but the bag itself looks great in all colors and is such a great sized tote. I can throw sunscreen, a book, and other pool essentials into this bag and it holds everything perfectly. It's also great for working. Since it has a nice structure, when paired with your work attire the bag can look professional and can definitely hold a laptop, agenda book, etc. It's incredibly versatile and worth every penny!

Sunday Best

Shirt: J. Crew, Skirt: J. Crew, Bag: Kate Spade (old, similar here), Shoes: Tory Burch, Watch: Kate Spade,
Sunglasses: Kate Spade
My favorite thing to do on the weekends during the summer is head down to the town center near our house, pick up an iced chai latte and walk around with Steven. This outfit is perfect for a morning stroll or to wear to church on a Sunday. J. Crew has such a great summer collection out right now. I saw this skirt and immediately wanted to find a shirt like this one to pair with it. This button-up is so lightweight and can be paired with shorts, jeans and will transition easily into fall. I love the skirt; the only thing I will suggest is to make sure you have a slip to wear underneath. It was a little more sheer than I was anticipating but still adorable.
