Perfect White Dress

Dress: Asos, Necklace: LuLu's (sold out), Shoes: Jack Rogers
Can we just take a moment to adore this dress? I absolutely love it! I have been waiting to wear it since I bought it and knew it would be perfect for the beach. It is super basic but so adorable and pretty inexpensive! It's one of those dresses you can really dress up and wear with wedges/heels or you can dress it down and just throw it over a bathing suit. I am a sucker for a good white dress!

Also wanted to share a picture of Steven and I because I love how it turned out! It was so fun to be with family while we were away and talk about the wedding. We aren't going to be jumping into full planning mode for a couple more months because we decided we probably won't be getting married until Spring 2017. It just works best with Steven's graduate school schedule and with us possibly moving that same year. 2017 is going to be a big year for us!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Work-Out Gear

Hoodie: lululemon, Tank: Under Armour (same style here), Pants: Under Armour, Shoes: Nike (old)
Today I wanted to do something a little bit different and post a fitness outfit! I have been getting back on the work-out grind over the last month after taking basically a year break from it due to the stress of my last job. While we were in Cape May I wanted to keep it up and stay pretty active. These pictures were taken on the patio of our rental home. How awesome is this view? I miss it already!

While we were in Cape May, they had a yoga class on the beach almost every morning! You just can't beat that. I don't know how I'll ever be able to do yoga again without the sound or view of the ocean in the background! We also did a lot of bike riding. Because it was a little breezy in the morning for yoga, this lululemon hoodie was perfect! It is lightweight but also provides sun protection. I want this hoodie in every color because not only is it great for working out, but it's adorable to just throw on when you're on the go!

The Cutest Jumpsuit

Jumper: LuLu's, Tote: Street Level via Nordstrom. Wedges: Michael Kors. Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Hey everyone! I'm so glad to be back on my regular posting schedule. I was going to try to post while I was in Cape May last week but unfortunately the internet connection at our rental wasn't very good. It was nice though to be totally unplugged! We had a really great time and I loved getting to see my Aunt/Uncle/Cousins. I only usually get to see them once a year but my cousin is also recently engaged and we are in eachother's wedding parties so I'm sure it will be much more often! The weather was absolutely gorgeous the whole time we were there and I got a great tan (and also a horrible sunburn on my face). If anyone has any suggestions to help prevent the sunburn from peeling I would so appreciate it!

In other news, my obsessed with this romper is so real! I have absolutely loved everything from LuLu's lately and this piece is just so unique and flattering. It's so easy to wear on a date night or wear to the beach like I did! The only thing I will say for those that are a little shorter (like myself), these pant legs are WAY too long on me. I am wearing a small and even with high wedges on, the pant legs are still grazing the floor. I am trying to figure out how I am going to hem them because I love this jumpsuit so much and want to be able to wear it with flats.

Can't wait to share more of posts from my trip!

Boho Hat

Top: Asos, Jeans: Topshop, Hat: Phase 3 via Nordstrom (on sale!), Bag: Street Level via Nordstrom, Shoes: Jcrew

Needless to say I am obsessed with this hat! I just got it in the mail the other day from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and am SO glad I decided to buy it. Not only do I love the color, but this hat is going to transition so well into fall and even winter! Definitely worth ever penny.

This top is also one of my favorite summer purchases. It is super soft and comfortable to wear. With a lot of off-shoulder tops sometimes the sleeves will slide up and don't sit right on my shoulder. The sleeves stay put and fit perfectly with this top. It comes in 3 other colors and I am definitely considering buying another one!

We leave for Cape May this weekend and I plan to do posts on schedule next week while we're there. I'm excited to share snippets from my trip! Steven and I haven't been on vacation together in so long because of his hectic school/work schedule so we're really looking forward to it. It's also going to be so nice to get away and celebrate our engagement at the beach with family!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Sweater Tank

Top: LuLu's, Jeans: Topshop, Shoes: Vince Camuto, Bag: Tory Burch (style no longer sold, similar here), Necklace: Baublebar, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
I have mentioned LuLu's in a few blog posts but I have just been obsessed with their summer items! This sweater tank is so comfortable and cute and under $30! This whole outfit is very me. It's easy, super comfortable but also stylish. We are going to the beach next week and I think this tank will look super cute over a bathing suit or paired with some palazzo pants!

I was really bummed to find that they no longer sell this Tory Burch bag when I was trying to find a link to it. I have had this bag since last year and it is by far my favorite bag I've ever owned. It's so versatile because it does have the crossbody option, although on a day to day I would typically tuck in the long strap and just carry it like a shoulder bag. It's called the "Amanda Classic Hobo." If you're in the market for a new bag and are able to find it on eBay or something for a reasonable price, I highly recommend it!

Navy & Mint

Shirt: Chloe K, Pants: Articles of Society, Shoes: Old (similar here), Bag: Street Level via Nordstrom (OBSESSED), Necklace: Baubeblar
Hope everyone had such a wonderful weekend! We had such a nice time. We went to a winery with friends on Saturday then Sunday I had brunch with two of my best friends! It was the first time I had seen them since the engagement so it was really nice to celebrate with them.

This outfit was so easy breezy for brunch! I love how the navy paired with this mint bag. It was the first time I had worn this bag on the reverse side and I can't believe how obsessed I am. I don't know if I'll ever flip it back to the brown side! This bag is definitely worth every penny if you're looking for a new every day tote. It is so inexpensive compared to bags I typically buy and is great quality. It's big enough to fit a laptop or would be perfect to bring down to the beach. We're going to Cape May this week and I know I'll be bringing this bag along!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks!

1.) Bobbi Brown "Secret to Standout Eyes" Set, 2.) Kendra Scott "Dani" Stone Drop Earrings, 3.) Sam Edelman 'Paige' Fringled Ankle Bootie, 4.) Wildfox 'Malibu' Sunglasses, Kate Spade Wallet, 5.) David & Young Fedora, 7.) Chloe 'Marcie' Tote, 8.) Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Baker' Watch
Happy Friday everyone! I know I'm a day behind on all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts but I wanted to definitely get this up before the weekend. You can shop the sale already if you have a Nordstrom Debit or Credit Card! If you shop at Nordstrom as often as I do, I highly recommend applying for one of their cards. If you don't want a store credit card (I know they can be iffy for some people) then definitely check out the Debit Card option because it also carries great perks.

I already made my purchases yesterday and am so pleased! Those Sam Edelman booties (#3) were absolute must-haves for me! I have had my eye on them for a while and needed some good brown booties. I am sort of noticing a "beige" trend with all of my picks but camel/tan/beige is basically the main reason I love fall fashion so much! Each season I have one color that dominates my wardrobe--for summer it's white and for fall it is almost always beige/tan!

I stuck with just listing my accessory picks for this sale because there were way too many clothing items to include! I did find one really cute dress from Everly (linked here) that I bought with engagement photos in mind ;) How cute would that dress look with brown booties during a fall engagement shoot?

Have a wonderful weekend and happy shopping!

Laidback Style

Top: Free People, Pants: J. Crew, Shoes: Dolce Vita (on sale!), Bralette: Victoria's Secret, Bag: Street Level via Nordstrom
Necklace: Kendra Scott, Watch: Kate Spade, Sunglasses: Kate Spade
Sometimes on the weekend you just need to be completely casual and comfortable! This outfit is the epitome of both of those things. I am so in love with these pants from J. Crew. They basically feel like pajamas which is always fabulous. You can dress these up more by pairing them with a cute peplum top and wedges. I work in a relatively casual office so I plan to wear them with a plain white flowy top and a summer scarf this week!

These Dolce Vita shoes that I have worn in a couple of my posts are still on sale so make sure to check them out. I have been wearing them nonstop.

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far!

Bright Pink

Top: J. Crew (color sold out, obsessed with this one), Pants: Gap, Shoes: J. Crew (sold out, similar here), Clutch: Kate Spade, Necklace: Kendra ScottLipstick: Mac "Flat out Fabulous"

I am absolutely in love with this look. It's perfect for a summer date night and the pink really makes everything pop. This top is very structured and has really neat pleating in the back that you can't see as well in the photos. I have linked to the same top on the J. Crew Factory site, just in a different color. I love the color of the one I was able to link and am tempted to buy it!

Because of it's structure, this top is also really great for work! If you want to pair it under a blazer or cardigan it looks really adorable and adds a pop of color to your work wardrobe. Also, these shoes are the best! I was so sad when I noticed they were sold out. They have a thicker heel which makes them much more comfortable than those with a stiletto heel.

In other news, something incredibly exciting did happen this weekend! My boyfriend (of almost 5 years) and I got engaged! We are so beyond thrilled and can't wait to begin the process of planning the wedding. I definitely want to do a couple blog posts on wedding planning along the way!

I hope everyone had a wonderful fourth of July weekend!

Summer Sweater

Sweater: J. Crew, Skirt: J. Crew, Shoes: Michael Kors, Tote: Tory Burch, Necklace: Baublebar
This sweater is a really great transition piece for your closet! It was great transitioning from Spring (when it can still be a bit chilly in DC) to summer and will also be a good piece going from summer to Fall. It's heavy enough to keep off that chill if you want to wear it in the early morning or late evening at the beach, but it's also airy enough to wear during the day. As you can sort of see here, it is a high-low style and the back is not as tightly stitched making it more breathable.

I absolutely LOVE this skirt from J. Crew as well. It is another item perfect for the 4th of July and would look so cute paired with a white tee or a red one if you want to go all out patriotic!

Hope everyone has a fun, safe holiday weekend!

Dreaming of Daisies

Top: Topshop, Shorts: J. Crew, Tote: Street Level via Nordstrom, Shoes: Jack Rogers, Necklace: Baublebar
I saw another blogger or two wearing this top and I became instantly obsessed and had to buy it! The first word I think of when looking at this top is "whimsical." It's just so adorable with the subtle daisies printed all over. I promise eventually I am going to stop flooding my blog with off-the-shoulder tops but I am just completely infatuated.

This bag is the same one from my last post just flipped to the reverse side. I love how versatile it is and how it's made with "vegan" leather. It's the perfect size and will transition effortlessly into fall.
