Citron Sweater

Sweater: J. Crew, Jeans: Joe's Jeans, Shoes: Vince Camuto, Tote: Tory Burch, Sunglasses: Kate Spade
Happy Monday ladies! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! It was hot as heck this weekend and I hate to say it, but I am SO ready for fall weather and for it to cool down. I was sweating when we were taking these photos (so glamorous, right?). Regardless, I am SO in love with this sweater from J. Crew. I have always loved their Tippi sweater and the color of this one was irresistible. I also bought it in a gorgeous wine/burgundy color which I can't wait to break out for Fall.

Also, I just got these new jeans in the mail this week and I could not be more obsessed. They are definitely a bit of a splurge, but I have come to realize this year that it is so worth it to invest in great jeans. They are so soft and comfortable! They remind me of a pair that I used to have from Banana Republic years ago and loved but they are WAY more comfortable. It feels like you're wearing leggings! Between these and my Paige jeans, it's a close call but I think I actually like these more. Can't believe I'm saying it, but I have officially been converted!

Bedroom Update

Happy Friday! I have been talking about doing this post for the last couple weeks and unfortunately it isn't totally finished but I still wanted to do a post focused on the bedding! We still need to replace the headboard (I want something lighter grey), get a new stool for my vanity and new curtains but then it will be totally finished. All the pillows are from Home Goods (my obsession) and the comforter itself I have linked here. I am in LOVE with the comforter and how it paired with these pillows.

I just love all white and grey bedrooms and have been really inspired by Pinterest! I wanted white to be the primary color which is why I got the light and bright bedding/pillows. The tough part about having the white bedding will be trying to keep Toby off the bed! He sheds SO much but I know I'm not going to win that battle.

I will definitely keep y'all up to date as the room continues to progress! Have such a wonderful weekend!

Crochet Detail

Top: Zaful (c/o), Pants: Zara, Shoes: Jack Rogers, Bag: Tory Burch (just bought this). Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Hey y'all! Hope you're doing well today! I am super excited about today's post because I absolutely LOVE this crochet sweater. When Zaful contacted me and asked me to review one of their items, I was thrilled! Not only are their clothes totally my style, they are all at an affordable price point and very fashion-forward. The item arrived quickly AND they offer free worldwide shipping which is so awesome. This sweater is not only adorable but I am really impressed with the quality! I felt like this would look super cute over bathing suits but also could be worn with jeans or some fun printed shorts! I will definitely continue to shop at Zaful!

Moving onto these jeans--I just received them last week and I cannot wait to wear these through fall! I have never owned jeans from Zara but I love the color and they are under $40. They're not the most comfortable jeans I've ever owned but they are much less expensive than my Paige jeans. When you buy these, I would suggest to size up. Mine are a little snug but it's just more motivation to work out harder;)

I was gifted some items in this post, however all opinions are my own.

Blush & White

Sweater: Zara, Pants: Gap, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Sunglasses: Kate Spade, Necklaces: Baublebar
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend and had wonderful weather like we did. I am trying to get the very last wear out of all of my white bottoms since we're getting so close to Labor Day! I just love the combination of blush and white. It's so feminine and classic. I wanted to throw in these animal print flats for a fun pop. These flats are cute, comfortable and are on sale right now so definitely check them out if you're in the market for an every day pair of flats.

I just got this sweater last week from Zara and I really love the color! It was a very pretty drape back detail and is under $30! I kind of wish I sized up for this top just because it's a little shorter than I was hoping. I like when sweaters are long and flowy. Zara products all seem to run a little bit on the smaller side but I love them just the same. Aside from that I just love this look for the end of summer!

Weekend Wish List

1.) Tory Burch Quilted Tote, 2.) Loeffler Randall "Ambra" Flat, 3.) Chloe Wallet, 4.) ban.do Travel Mug, 5.) Buxom Customizable Palette, 6.) Topshop Big Floppy Hat, 7.) Mac Lipstick "Cherish", 8.) Prada Cat Eye Sunglasses

Happy Friday fellow bloggers! I am absolutely thrilled that it's Friday and also that I'm working from home today. It's always nice to be able to work in PJ's. As I mentioned before, I had intended to do my bedroom makeover post but a couple items weren't delivered in time..bummer! Instead, I wanted to share a couple items that I have been lusting after for the last few weeks (2 of which I couldn't help myself and purchased...oops!). I have an obsession with all things black, grey and burgundy during Fall so I'm sure you can pick up on that trend from this list.

I am in the market for a new every day bag which is always a big decision. I love Tory Burch bags because they are great quality and her style options are all VERY my taste. I have been wanting this Quilted tote for a while...but there are a couple other bags that have caught my eye, one of which may be a little bit of a splurge (here and here). Decisions, decisions!

These Loeffler Randall flats are SO stinkin' cute and would be perfect to wear year round. They're a little pricey so I'm trying to restrain myself.

The two things I already caved and bought of course are the cosmetics! I purchased this Buxom palette and picked out some really gorgeous fall colors for it. I think I will do a Fall make-up routine post in the next couple weeks with it! I also just purchased a couple Mac lipsticks because a.) they are my favorite lipsticks b.) they have AMAZING colors for Fall. Cherish is just one of those that I purchased--it looks like the perfect brown/nude which I am all about.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Fall Transition Dress

Dress: Topshop, Shoes:J. Crew (from last season, similar here), Bag: Tory Burch (old,, similar here), Necklace: Baublebar,, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Lip Color: Kat Von D "Lolita"
This Topshop dress is probably one of my absolute favorite purchases made during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It is breathable enough to wear now (in fact, I wore it on Monday to work) but it does have some heaviness to it making it great for Fall. The only thing I will say is to beware of the horizontal stripe! I think in person it's fine, but as I was going through a lot of these pictures I felt like there were some angles where it was a little unflattering. Still totally adorable though!

I'm so bummed out that I won't be able to do my mini bedroom makeover post on Friday as anticipated. When I ordered my new comforter, I realized the other day that it didn't come with the matching pillow shams (SO annoying) so I had to order those separately. They won't be delivered until Saturday. I will definitely get that post up next Friday though!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far! Linking up with Mix & Match Fashion!

The BEST Sweatshirt

Sweatshirt: Wildfox (sold out, but LOVE  this and this), Shorts: J. Crew, Shoes: Sam Edelman, Bag: Street Level via Nordstrom, Sunglasses: Kate Spade
Happy Monday everyone! Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was super relaxing and productive. I have been working on a mini-bedroom makeover which I'm hoping to have done in time to share on the blog this Friday. The reason I'm calling it a "mini" makeover is because it primarily was just sprucing up the bed with new bedding/pillows/etc and also adding a new nightstand with new decor.

So, this sweatshirt was just too cute not to share! I am a big fan of anything from Wildfox although I do feel like they can be a little overpriced. However, if you own anything from Wildfox you know that their clothes are SO soft and comfortable. I actually picked up this one (because the quote is SO perfect) over the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so it is sold out. However, I linked to a couple other ones that I LOVE.

I'm not sure if I have worn these shoes yet on the blog which is surprising because I wear them so often day to day! They are so cute, comfortable and are the perfect "transition" shoe. As the weather starts to get a little cooler but not cold enough for boots/booties, I love pairing these shoes (and my Chuck's of course) with almost anything.

Perfect Fall Bag

Dress: Cotton On, Hat: Phase 3 via Nordstrom, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (also here)
Happy Friday everyone! This week has felt SO long so I'm so excited it's finally almost the weekend. I was going to wait until fall to do a post on this bag, but I couldn't help myself! Plus, I figured it was a good time to get your hands on it so you're ready when fall arrives. This is the Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair and it can be worn as a shoulder bag or a crossbody. It is such a great size for when you're on the go and truly if you don't like carrying big totes, this is a good bag for everyday use as well!

I looked all around to see if I could find the burgundy color still in stock anywhere and so far I have only found it on Zappos (here) and eBay. To be honest, I'm not sure if the one on Zappos is the same shade of red. It looks like it might be a tiny bit brighter but it is a very close match, if not exactly the same. If you do like this color in particular (I am obsessed), this bag (here) is slightly different and is actually a little bit larger. It is just as adorable and is the same gorgeous color.

I hope you have a wonderful & relaxing weekend!

Black & White

Top: Madewell, Shorts: J. Crew, Shoes: J. Crew, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Crossbody: Kate Spade (old, similar here)
Okay, I know that I start off almost all my blog posts the same by talking about how obsessed I am with an item but today I really cannot express how in love I am with this top! This shirt is such a perfect transition piece and I will be wearing it straight into fall with black jeans and booties. I love the slits on the side. It gives it a little bit of edge and is adorably unexpected. The material is really lightweight and breezy. I even wore it to work again today with a pair of white pants and just put a black tank underneath to make work appropriate. It is a little pricey, but I think it's worth every penny. Madwell never fails to impress!

I also have to talk a little bit about my hair. I have been really REALLY impressed with the color job this time around. I always have major issues with my color fading almost immediately after the first wash but I haven't noticed any change so far. I am just loving the color and love how healthy my hair looks. My stylist mentioned that the ammonia in the hair dye makes the hair feel a lot softer and healthier. He also used Moroccan Oil Heat Styling Protection in it the day he did my hair and I purchased some while there because I loved the smell. I feel like continuing to use that is also keeping my hair looking a lot healthier. Just thought I would share if any of you experience the same hair troubles I have after getting it colored.

Also, to curl my hair I used the Nume 25 MM Classic Wand. I LOVE this curling iron. I have really thick hair so it takes a really good curling wand for my hair to hold a curl. These curls last 2-3 days and you don't even need to touch them up. Definitely check it out if you're in the market for a new one!

Summer Plaid

Top: J. Crew (from last season, similar here), Shorts: J. Crew, Shoes: Converse, Bag: Street Level via Nordstrom, Lipstick: Lorac Pro Matte Lip Color "Mauve"
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a fun, relaxing weekend. We spent our weekend doing a lot of household projects (one of which I will be sharing on the blog soon!) and on Sunday, my family had a small engagement party for Steven and I. It was so nice to celebrate more with family and the weather was perfect for it.

I feel like this outfit is just ME. I love plaid year round (especially during fall). When I run around and do things on the weekend I love to be comfortable and this outfit is just so effortless but still cute. I have been wearing my Converse "Shoreline" sneakers almost every day for the last month. I'm so glad I bought these along with my white Vans!

If you're looking for an every day lip color, I highly recommend these Lorac Pro Matt Lip Colors. They are matte but not drying at all and I love the color selection. "Mauve" is my favorite though especially for fall. I know it's not fall yet but I really just can't wait!

Happiness Boutique

Happy Friday everyone! I was so excited when Happiness Boutique contacted me and asked me to feature one of their pieces on my blog. When I saw this statement necklace on their site, I was immediately in love! It is so trendy and I could see myself pairing it with so many different outfits.
Their packaging was so adorable and came with adorable decorative cards inside. The quality of the necklace is AWESOME! It feels really durable but not too heavy. I decided to pair it here with just a simple white button-up and jeans because I really wanted the necklace to be the main focus of the outfit. Their prices are really great and affordable in my opinion and though they are based in Berlin, the item still arrived fairly quickly. They offer free shipping and a great customer reward program. I definitely am going to get a lot of wear out of this necklace and can already picture pairing it with a simple black dress. Make sure you check out their site!
Necklace: Happiness Boutique (c/o) (have my eye on this and this), Shirt: J. Crew, Jeans: Paige Denim, Lipstick: Mac "Whirl"
Have a good weekend everyone!

I was gifted some items in this post, however all opinions are my own.

Tie-Dye Pants

Top: Zoe & Rose via Nordstrom (Sold out, similar here), Pants: Obey via LuLu's, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Watch: Kate Spade, Shoes: Target, Bag: Francesca's (old), Lip Color: "Twig" by Mac
I just LOVE these pants from LuLu's. Any time I can wear a pair of pants that feel like pajamas but are still stylish, I am a happy girl! I wore this outfit while I was at the beach and just love how this top paired with these comfortable pants. I think the tie-dye design is adorable but isn't too in your face.

LuLu's was one of my go-to stores this summer so I can't wait to see what they bring out for Fall.
I have to admit that I am already ready for fall! It is my absolute favorite season and fortunately in DC we get a pretty long fall. It starts to cool down in early September so I have started swapping out summer clothes for my fall clothes slowly but surely. Like every other girl, I get so excited about wearing scarves and boots but most importantly, pumpkin-flavored everything!

Transition Sweater

Sweater: Nordstrom, Shorts: J. Crew, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Bag: Tory Burch (style discontinued, similar here), Sunglasses: Kate Spade, Shoes: Vans
Happy Monday everyone! You may notice something a little bit different.....my hair is MUCH darker and I am in LOVE with it. Every fall/winter I typically dye my hair darker, however I usually do a more auburn color (with more red undertones.) This time I wanted to do a really cool-toned chocolate brown and I am SO happy with the results. Even though it is one solid color, it still has so much dimension and I think this is definitely the right shade for my complexion. I use a really great shampoo (the Biolage shampoo specifically for color treated hair) however, the first time I dye my hair dark, the color usually fades really fast. Do any of you have suggestions for products that make your color last?! I would so appreciate any tips.

Aside from the new 'do, I have a couple new additions to my closet from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This sweater is so perfect for transitioning into fall. It is comfortable and lightweight enough to wear now, but it will be perfect going into fall with dark jeans and some cute booties! I can't wait to share more of my Nordstrom sale finds!
