Camel Blazer

Blazer: J. Crew, Turtleneck: J. Crew, Pants: Joe's Jeans, Boots: Sam Edelman, Bag: Tory Burch, Necklace: Kendra Scott
Happy Friday everyone! Whew! We made it through the week. It was absolute craziness at work so I could not be happier that it's over. Do y'all have fun plans for Halloween? We're not big party goers so we're having our friends over to watch scary movies. We also want to do a little pumpkin carving earlier in the day. I want to dress up but we've had no time to plan costumes. I at least want to dress Toby up! If we do, I'll definitely share photos next week.

This outfit is very fall festive! I think a camel blazer is essential especially if you have to get a little dressed up for work. I'm VERY picky about how my blazers fit and I love the ones like this from J. Crew! I'm not a huge fan of long blazers so these are the perfect length. Also, the tissue turtlenecks from J.Crew are my favorite! I have them in a couple colors and I really love this burnt red striped turtleneck. They go great under ponchos, sweaters, vests, etc.

Enjoy your weekend and Happy Halloween!

Cozy Sweater & Grey Jeans

Sweater: Sun & Shadow, Jeans: BLANKNYC (sold out, similar here), Shoes: Aldo, Bag: Kate Spade (old, similar here), Sunglasses: Kate Spade
YAY the week is halfway done! Hope you're all doing well today! I think this is my first time featuring these jeans on the blog but to say I'm in love would be an understatement. I bought them during the Shopbop sale and I think they actually sold out:( Such a bummer. If I can find them anywhere again, I will definitely let you know in another post. I did link to a pair by Paige that is super similar and you all know how much I love Paige denim.

This sweater was also a great buy. It will go with absolutely anything and I think a cream-colored, oversized sweater is essential during fall. It's a little itchy but it's not too bad. I can see myself wearing this a lot during winter because it's extra cozy! It comes in several other colors and I'm tempted to buy them all. What else is new?!

Engagement Dress

Dress: BCBGeneration, Shoes: Zara, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Lips: NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil "Cruella"
Happy Monday lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for a little weekend recap! I had such a fun time this weekend. We had a small engagement dinner and a few of my friends came into town along with a couple other local friends. I just feel so blessed to have such incredible friends, bridesmaids, and the best fiance! The closer it gets (though we still have PLENTY of time) the more real the wedding is starting to feel.

We took these pictures on our way out so this is what I wore to the engagement dinner. I got this BCBG dress from Nordstrom about a month ago and have been aching to finally wear it! I love how it fits and the babydoll style is one of my favorites. Also, these heels from Zara are my new obsession. They honestly are very comfortable for stiletto heels and I love the strappy style.

As you can see, all the leaves are changing here in DC and everything looks so gorgeous!

Irresistible Me Extensions Review

Hair Extensions: Irresistible Me (c/o), Top: BP, Necklace: Kendra Scott, Lip Color: Bite Beauty "Quince"
Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a wonderful week. I'm excited about today's post because Irresistible Me reached out and asked me to try out and review their hair extensions! I wanted to wait to do my review until after I had my hair color touched up. My new color matches the extensions perfectly and I couldn't be more thrilled.
Irresistible Me was great to work with and the extensions arrived so quickly! The extensions are made with 100% human hair and they give you a vast choice in color and 3 weight options (100g, 140g, 200g). To start out, the extensions came in very sleek packaging. I love the all black and white! When I opened the box, I was immediately struck by how gorgeous the hair is. It's so soft, shiny and great quality. I have incredibly thick hair so I was thrilled to see how much came with the 200 gram set. I chose the Silky Touch extensions in Chocolate Brown just for color reference. If you're not sure what color to get, they have an awesome YouTube video demonstration (linked here) which I found SO helpful. They're easy to clip-in and with the 200 gram set you can go super thick and voluminous or if you're looking more for length, you don't need to use all of the wefts.
Overall, I highly recommend Irresistible Me and can't wait to continue to wear my extensions, especially now with my darker hair!

I was gift some items in this post, however all opinions are my own.

Camel Tones

Jacket: Asos (sold out, similar here, wanting this one), Scarf: BP, Shirt: BP, Jeans: Joe's, Bag: Tory Burch, Shoes: J. Crew (similar here), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Is it just me or does this week feel like it's moving super slow? Maybe it's because I only worked 2 days last week! I was editing these pictures and thought "Man, my hair looks DARK!" but I love it. Did I mention how much I love my hair stylist?

This outfit was so perfect for the chilly weekend. Sunday was in the 50's but with the wind it sure felt colder. I was really comfortable with the temperature in this outfit though! I got this jacket from Asos earlier this year and was sad that it was no longer on their website. I linked to one fairly similar though! Even though this is faux leather, it is super butter-y and great quality. I also LOVE how it fits. Asos has a ton of great jackets so I really recommend looking through their site. I linked to a suede one I have had my eye on.

Also, how cute is this scarf? I love the more pastel colors and it's only $20!

Faux Fur

Vest: Zara, Blouse: Lush, Pants: J. Crew, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Sunglasses: Karen Walker
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I'm linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for this post! We just relaxed and got the apartment in order--it was a little bit chaotic after getting back from the beach. I also got my hair touched up so it's back to that deep, chocolate brown color that I love! My hairdresser really does such a great job. He also took about an inch off and put some layers in so it looks a lot healthier! If you live in the DC metro and are looking for a good hairdresser, I really recommend D Rock Salon.

Fall is in full force and it was in the low 60's/50's! With that being said, it was time to break out the vest and over-the-knee boots. I felt so fall-festive in this outfit. This faux fur vest from Zara is the BEST! For the price point, I couldn't be happier. It's great quality and substantially cheaper than the really popular Topshop one I had been lusting after. I love the color of the faux fur and the length. I also couldn't resist these Steve Madden boots. They're almost identical to the Stuart Weitzman boots and about $600 cheaper. I was really surprised with how comfortable they are. These are going to get a lot of use from now through winter!

Perfect Fall Jacket

Jacket: Gap, T-shirt: H&M, Jeans: Topshop, Shoes: Sam Edelman, Sunglasses: Karen Walker
Happy Friday! I can't complain too much about this week since yesterday was my first day back to work after our trip to Corolla. I wish I had a 2 day week all the time! We just have family time planned this weekend and I'm FINALLY getting my hair color touched up. I can't wait to have it back to the really deep, rich chocolate color it was when he originally dyed it.

This is the last of my photos from our trip! This jacket from Gap has been such an awesome addition to my closet. After seeing a bunch of other bloggers in it, I finally caved and ordered it. Right now I believe it is 30% off if you're interested! It's great quality and goes with so many outfits. It's lightweight which is perfect for the current temperature in DC and it's that olive/military color that I have been loving so dearly this season.

What are your weekend plans?! Have a great rest of your day!

Beach Gingham

Shirt: J.Crew, Jeans: Joe's Jeans, Scarf: J.Crew, Shoes: Converse
Hey there! Excited to share another post from Corolla but sad to say that we left yesterday and are back home now. It was the most relaxing trip and I enjoyed every minute of it. I took today off too because we originally planned to stay an extra day. We opted to leave late yesterday though to avoid traffic. If you haven't ever been to the Outer Banks and live on the East Coast, I really recommend planning a visit. The beaches are just so pretty, clean and the atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxing.

This outfit was perfect for our second day there because it was a little chilly. My shirt is from J. Crew and it is actually an incredibly soft, flannel material. The quality is incredible and I know I'll have this shirt for a very long time.

I also just wanted to quickly mention that Baublebar is having their Friends & Family sale which will get you 25% off sitewide. Click on the banner below and use the code AMIGOS! I have had my eye on this and this!

Blanket Scarf

Shirt: Nasty Gal, Scarf: Hinge. Jeans: Topshop, Booties: J. Crew (old, almost identical here), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Happy Monday from the Outer Banks! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and if you have today off, I hope you're enjoying it. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for this post! We are still in Corolla and will be here until Wednesday. The weather so far has been a bit cloudy but warm enough. It's just such a relaxing, laidback place!

This scarf is my absolute favorite that I've purchased for the fall season. It originally came in 3 colors but one of the colors sold out. It looks just like the one I'm wearing here but has coral and red instead of blue. I keep hoping it will come back in stock because I would love to have it in another color!

Also, as I've talked about so many times before, I love investing in great basics. These waffle shirts from Nasty Gal are my newest addiction. They are so comfortable and perfect for the "peeping bralette" trend. I got a really cute black lace bralette from there and it looks so adorable with this top. Nasty Gal is one of my FAVORITE online stores so if you haven't before, definitely check them out.

My Fave Fall Color

Dress: Bobeau, Scarf: Express (old), Boots: Sam Edelman, Bag: Tory Burch (old, similar here), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Happy Friday!! This is a super exciting Friday for me because tomorrow we leave for the Outer Banks and will be there through Wednesday. I can't wait to just relax! That's the thing about the Outer Banks--there isn't a ton to do so whenever we go it's super low-key. We just ride our bikes, walk on the beach, do other fun outdoor activities, and eat seafood. At night we usually just play board games and drink wine! This is my first time at my Aunt's house because they just bought it a couple months ago but we have been going to the Outer Banks on and off since I was in middle school.

Today is also exciting because Steven has been in Tampa for a conference since Tuesday and I pick him up from the airport today. Am I the only one that hates being alone? I enjoy it for the first day when I'm getting caught up on all my shows he won't watch with me, but after that I miss him terribly! Before he headed out on Tuesday, I made him snap these pictures of my work outfit. I snagged this dress about a month ago and love it for work! It's SOOO soft and this olive color has been my absolute obsession this season.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to share pictures from the beach next week!

Fall Prints

Top: Zara, Jeans: Express, Shoes: Dolce Vita, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Lip Color: Mac "Whirl"
Ok y'all--this top is everything! I saw it on Zara's site and knew that I had to have it. The colors and the pattern are so perfect for fall. You know how some clothes are just so beautiful they feel like you're wearing art? That's how I feel when I wear this top. Not only is it covered in this gorgeous print--there are also these tassels that hang off of the neck tie that are gold and so cool!

Also, how stinkin' cute are these over-the-knee boots from Dolce Vita? I LOVE the color and how comfortable they are. This taupe-y color goes with so much in my fall/winter wardrobe so they will get a ton of use. I can see myself pairing them a lot with either all black or just jeans, a basic white tee, and a scarf (my fall uniform).

Rainy Day Outfit

Jacket: Express, Shirt: J. Crew (old, similar here), Leggings: Victoria's Secret, Shoes: Hunter, Bag: Street Level, Hat: Zara
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you stayed safe and dry during some of the bad weather we had on the East Coast. Unfortunately, I was feeling a little bit under the weather this weekend and with the bad storms we just stayed in and caught up on some Netflix! I'm really looking forward to this upcoming weekend because we are going to my aunt's house in the Outer Banks from Saturday through Wednesday. This is my first time seeing the house and I can't wait to spend time with family.

Today I'm bringing you some outfit inspo for rainy day weather! My Hunter boots got a lot of use this past week because I don't think I saw the sun once. I also wanted to mention that I found my Hunter boots a couple months ago at the Nordstrom Rack near our apartment. If you have been wanting to buy a pair, I definitely recommend checking out Nordstrom Rack because mine were about half the price!

Also, I think I have talked about it before but this leather jacket from Express is my absolute favorite. It's one of the best purchases I've EVER made because it gets so much use this time of year. It fits perfectly and I love the length. I bought mine two years ago and I love it more each year that I've owned it.

What's in My Every Day Bag?

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a wonderful week! I wanted to get one more outfit post up this week but DC has been hit with pretty bad weather and I  haven't seen the sun all week.
Anyway--I have seen a couple other bloggers do this type of post and have also seen a ton of YouTube videos so I thought it would be fun to do it myself! Right now, I am carrying the Tory Burch Robinson Double-Zip Tote in Luggage as my every day bag. I have had this bag for about 2 months now and I have been LOVING it. I love the size and also love that it has a crossbody option. I typically carry it on my arm but when I'm shopping or bringing in groceries I love using the crossbody strap. Tory Burch is running a sale right now for 30% off and this bag is included so if you're interested, make sure to check out her site!

I always carry a lint roller because my pup sheds a whole bunch! He is a Golden Retriever mix so needless to say my clothes are always covered in his fur. I also always carry a book with me. I know it's the 21st century and most people use kindles or their ipads but to me, there's nothing like getting a new book! I have been really into Jane Austen lately and just started Sense & Sensibility for the first time. On to the more interesting items:
I love that this bag fits my Erin Condren planner. I may end up doing a whole separate post on my planner but all I'll say for now is I really LOVE this planner and all the customization options!
This Tory Burch cosmetics bag fits so perfectly in any tote and fits all the make-up I like to carry around for touch-ups. I looked at Sephora's site and didn't see this little Laura Mercier pot but I LOVE it for on-the-go. It has two concealers and the setting powder on the bottom so if you have a blemish pop up or if you're getting oily or creasy throughout the day this is perfect to have. I also carry blush and whatever lipstick combo I'm wearing that day if I need to reapply.
Another awesome product I would recommend is this Tangle-Teezer. People make fun of me all the time because I used to carry around a full-sized brush in my bag. I have super thick hair so I need to brush it a couple times a day otherwise it can look a little crazy. This tangle-teaser fits perfectly in my bag but I also always use it to brush out curls when I curl my hair.

Last but not least, I always carry my Ray-Bans with me and these Karen Walker sunglasses I got about a month ago. Both of those sunglasses go with every outfit! Linking up with Fashion Friday.

Hope you enjoyed this post--have a good weekend!
