70's Blouse

Blouse: Wayf, Jeans: Topshop "Joni," Bag: Tory Burch, Shoes: Sam Edelman (on sale!), Lip Color: Colourpop "I  Heart This"
Happy Hump Day everyone! Today I'm featuring this GORGEOUS blouse from Wayf. I absolutely love the bell sleeves and the 70's feel of this top. I feel sort of like Austin Powers in this top (in a good way of course lol!) This blouse would look adorable under a faux fur vest or with a pencil skirt if you get more dressed up for work!

Also, I posted last week about how I purchased a pair of Vince Camuto riding boots that just didn't work out. I didn't really like how dark they were and they were a little too narrow/stiff. I returned them and got these Sam Edelman "Penny" boots which are actually on sale right now. I LOVE them! They're the exact color I was hoping for and the quality is amazing. The leather is super soft and not nearly as rigid as the other boots. If you're in the market for a good pair of every day riding boots, I highly recommend these!

Grey & Black

Sweater: Sun & Shadow, Pants: Topshop, Shoes: Aldo, Bag: Kate Spade (old, similar here), Lip Color: Anastasia Beverly Hills "Vintage"
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are starting to enjoy the fall weather. This weekend was really relaxing and productive. We got to spend time with family and get a lot of cooking done for the week which I always love!

Going into fall, my closet is stocked full of two colors primarily: camel/tan and grey. I love grey everything (tops, pants, boots, etc.) and this sweater is no exception! It is cozy but breathable which I love! I also LOVE the length. Anything that's a little longer and slouchier is very my style. My only complaint with this sweater is it does shed. After I took it off, I noticed a bunch of fuzzies all over my black pants. If anyone has suggestions on how to prevent shedding, I would so appreciate the tips!

Also, now that the cooler seasons are rolling in, it was time to break out my black "Joni" jeans from Topshop again. These high-waisted jeans are my OBSESSION and Topshop does it right! If you're looking for a great pair of high-waisted jeans, definitely check out the "Joni." They're comfortable and really flattering!

My Wedding Picks

Image Sources: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Happy Friday!! Today's post is going to be a little bit different but I have seen a couple comments asking for wedding planning updates. As most of y'all know, Steven and I are recently engaged and wedding planning is finally in full force. I think I have mentioned this before but we do have a longer engagement. We're down to about 18 months but all in all I think it will have been 21 months total. We are getting married in April 2017 because this coincides with Steven completing his PhD. It was too hectic for us to have the wedding next summer since it will be during essentially the most stressful period of his academic career!

Anyways, this will sound really boring of me but I'm not a HUGE fan of color. I really like neutrals and want our wedding to be primarily neutrals with gold, mint and muted peach/muted pink accents. The flowers featured in photo 3 are my main inspiration that I am sort of building the wedding theme around! I linked to the Style Me Pretty gallery where those flowers were featured and that wedding was just GORGEOUS. I loved everything about it!

I want to have very neutral champagne-colored bridesmaid dresses. I really want them to have some sort of subtle sparkle! I love the ones featured above with the rhinestones on the neckline. Bouquets will be all white flowers. It's funny because for years and years I always said I wanted peonies 100% but after coming across this bouquet on Pinterest I fell in love!

Last but not least, how amazing are these Badgley Mischka heels? If our wedding wasn't so far off, I would buy them right now!

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

Flowy Plaid

Button-Up: Bobeau, Jeans: Joe's Jeans (on sale!), Boots: Vince Camuto, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (same color, similar style here), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
I couldn't be happier because yesterday and today it is feeling more and more like fall here in DC! It is so cool and crisp in the morning and the days haven't been getting too hot at all. Plus I finally broke out the riding boots! I have to preface this post by saying that I actually ended up returning these boots right after I put them on for these photos. They were REALLY uncomfortable and narrow. They also hit at a really awkward spot where they were just barely over my knee so when I bent my legs they dug into my skin. They are so adorable but just not very practical. I ended up exchanging them for the Sam Edelman Penny Boot! They look more my style and I have heard great things about them. I just needed a new pair of brown boots for fall because the ones I have are starting to look rough.

This top is so stinkin' cute for fall! I love that it's nice and flowy. It's also super soft. I have talked about these Joe's Jeans in a couple posts but just wanted to point out that they're on sale right now! If you're looking for a great, quality pair of jeans, I highly recommend these. I think they only have a few sizes left!

Abigail Dress

Dress: Brandy Melville, Sweater: Cotton On, Hat: Sold Out (similar here), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Shoes: J. Crew (last season, almost identical here)
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a fun and relaxing weekend. My weekend was fun but definitely not relaxing! We went back with Steven & my dad to look at the wedding venue (since they didn't come with us initially) and settled on the actual banquet room on Saturday. We're planning to book the official date this week hopefully which is very exciting! On Sunday, I went to a wedding expo at George Mason University with my MOH and one of my bridesmaids. It was fun but SUPER overwhelming. There were so many vendors there and people were a little bit aggressive! I did find a photographer I absolutely LOVED there and I won a framed wedding photograph which was cool.

I got this dress from Brandy Melville a couple weeks ago because I LOVED the print and the silhouette. I thought it would be perfect for the end of summer but would also look cute with a sweater and a pair of boots going into fall. The shape of this dress is incredibly flattering and it's the perfect length. Brandy Melville is one of my absolute favorite brands. I have talked a couple of times about how I'm all about good basics and she carries such soft, adorable wardrobe basics. Her clothes are also at a great price point and are just very my style!

Weekend Wish List

Left to Right: Prada Sunglasses, Voluspa Candle, Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow-Camel, Hinge Scarf, Kate Spade Pencil Cup, UGG Throw Blanket, Steve Madden Boots
Happy Friday everyone! I apologize in advance that this post is a little shorter than usual. This week has been absolutely crazy at work! Today I just wanted to share with you a couple items that are on my wish list. I'm sure you can see a trend with the neutrals and the camel-toned items. I just gravitate towards these colors year round but especially during Fall!

I have seen this scarf from Hinge on a couple other bloggers and it is taking a lot restraint not to click "Add to Cart." Also, I am so excited about these over-the-knee Steve Madden boots. They are new on Nordstrom's site and they are almost identical to the more pricey Stuart Weitzman boots here. I have had my eye on the Stuart Weitzman pair for over a year but these are less than half the price!

Hope y'all have an absolutely wonderful and relaxing weekend!

The Perfect Sweater

Sweater: Lulu's, Tank: Lush, Jeans: Joe's Jeans, Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Shoes: J. Crew (from last season, super similar style here), Bag: Tory Burch (style no longer sold), Necklaces: Stella & Dot, Baublebar, Lipstick: Mac "Diva"
Can I just start off by saying-hallelujah, the season for vampy lip colors has finally arrived! Every year I get more and more comfortable rocking the dark berry wine colors and the deep reds. Who knows-maybe next year I'll be rocking some black lipstick! Mac "Diva" is one of my all time favorites and is definitely a staple if you're into statement lips. I love it because in some photos it looks like a really deep red but in others it almost looks purple.

This sweater from Lulu's is one of my favorite fall purchases. These floor-length sweaters are just so comfortable and chic. They can also be paired so effortlessly with jeans or dresses! This one in particular is awesome quality and is heavy enough to be perfect for fall weather. Neutral colored sweaters like this are my go-to during this time of year pretty much through winter.

Suede Skirt Obsession

Skirt: Hinge via Nordstrom (on sale!), Shirt: Asos. Scarf: Vince Camuto (similar here), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (almost identical in same color here), Shoes: Aldo, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Lipstick: Kat Von D "Lolita"
Happy Monday everyone! Hope y'all had a relaxing and fun weekend. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this weekend which was so surreal. I can't believe Steven and I have been together that long! We still have so much to look forward to especially over this next year. It rained all day Saturday but Sunday the weather was absolutely gorgeous. It's the perfect temperature right now and is finally starting to feel like fall is approaching.

Speaking of fall, here is another outfit perfect for the upcoming season. Suede skirts are so on trend right now and this one is awesome! It is such great quality and has a very flattering silhouette. It's on sale right now via Nordstrom so make sure to check it out! As I'm sure you will come to see, I have a major obsession with cheetah print everything. It's sort of sick! As soon as I saw this scarf I knew I needed it. I love the big graphic print and the size of the scarf. This will get SO much use through the rest of the year. It must have JUST sold out but I linked to one that looks super similar!

Shaping Up

Top: Forever 21, Pants: Athleta, Bra: Lululemon, Shoes: Nike, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Happy Friday everyone! This week really flew by with the holiday on Monday! Today I wanted to share with you some outfit inspiration for working out. I have been really working my butt off at the gym over the last month and a half and am starting to see some great results. I am really looking to just tone up my lower body and build upper body strength. I am starting to see a little bit more muscle and definition in my arms and my legs/booty are gradually getting more toned!

If you're in the market for new sneakers, I HIGHLY recommend these Nike Free Flyknit 4.0 running shoes. They are literally the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned (including slippers). I almost think I'm more comfortable wearing these than wearing no shoes at all. I also think they're really cute and they come in more colors if you don't want just black and grey.

Also, if y'all have any interest or are struggling to get on a solid work-out plan, I am doing the Jamie Eason 12-week training plan linked here. For me, it is so much more motivating to follow a set plan because I know what I need to go in and accomplish every day at the gym. I also feel like I'm seeing results much quicker than with other work-outs I've done. Let me know in the comments if you would like to see maybe a post every few weeks just dedicated to Health & Fitness. I am not an expert AT ALL but I personally like to follow blogger fitness journeys just to get ideas/tips I can incorporate into my lifestyle.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Fall Neutrals

Shirt: Lily White via Nordstrom, Pants: Topshop, Scarf: Zara, Shoes: J. Crew (from last season, similar here), Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Bag: Tory Burch, Lip Color: Mac "Cherish"
Today's look is pretty much my favorite kind of outfit! It's why I love Fall so much. I love wearing big flowy tops and sweaters with a scarf, jeans and either boots or booties. I don't know why but it just feels so effortless, comfortable and always looks fashionable. The top and scarf I'm wearing here are both SO soft. The top is on major sale right now and it comes in a variety of colors.

Outfits like this make me wish for a cooler weather (like 60-70 degrees). I think when Fall rolls around it makes me more nostalgic than with any other season. I'm not sure what it is about Fall! The pumpkin tastes and scents are a big bonus (plus Hocus Pocus re-runs) but I think it just brings me back to football season in high school and college. Homecoming was such a big deal at my high school and obviously at Clemson, football was the best time of year. I also just LOVE(d) Halloween! It was one of my favorite holidays and to be honest, I wish I wasn't too old to go trick or treating because I still would! Ultimately though, I think it's fall fashion that gets me most excited.

Red Lace-Ups

Shirt: J. Crew, Jeans: Paige Denim, Flats: Topshop, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Necklace: J. Crew, Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Hope everyone has been enjoying their Labor Day weekend! It has been so nice to have two extra days off since I took off on Friday. I have had such a great weekend so far. On Saturday I spent the day with my mom, my Maid of Honor and my aunt & cousin looking at wedding venues. I think we found the one! Now it is just a matter of going back in a couple weeks to put down the deposit. We just absolutely fell in love with the venue. It is overlooking the Bay and is absolutely stunning. It makes everything feel more real!

Needless to say, these red lace-up flats are everything right now! I just LOVE the color and I am completely on board with the lace-up trend. I really like how the shoes paired with this plaid top. It really pulls the red detailing from the shirt. I can't wait to continue to wear these through Fall!

Also just wanted to mention a couple awesome Labor Day sales going on!

Fall Make-Up Favorites

Happy Friday everyone! Today I get to post this while sitting in bed because I took the day off for an extra long Labor Day weekend. We are going to look at wedding venues tomorrow which I am so excited for! Today I wanted to share with you a couple of my favorite make-up products going into Fall:

Mac Lipsticks: Mac has my absolute FAVORITE lipsticks. There are a ton of lip products out there that I love, but I find myself always going back to the same Mac lipsticks. I love the vast shade selection they have and the different formulas. I just recently purchased a few of the ones mentioned in this post but they have become instant favorites. As you can tell, Twig has been a long loved favorite but Cherish & Mid-Mauve are tied for a close second. I just LOVE mauve tones and nudes with a brown undertone. I think they look great with my complexion and especially with my new hair color! Mac lip liners are also absolutely amazing. My two favorite liners  to pair with these shades are Stripdown and Soar!

Morphe 350 Palette: I'm sure if any of you are as obsessed with beauty vloggers as I am, you have heard a lot about this palette recently. I was lucky enough to snag it while it was in stock and have been using it basically every day since then. I hear it is coming back in stock though so make sure to keep checking if you're interested! I have tried almost all of the shades at this point and have been impressed with them all. I especially love the more cranberry/red tones!

Hourglass Blush in "Diffused Heat": I think the best way to describe this blush is just a natural flush! It's so stunning. I never thought I would like a red toned blush like this but if you just gently dust it on the skin it gives such a natural glow to the face and looks gorgeous with all the deep fall colors.

Milani Blush in "Red Vino": I am mentioning this blush because it is actually a great dupe for the Hourglass one! The Milani Blush formula is so amazing and just as good (if not better) than a lot of higher end blushes. It is very close in color to the Hourglass blush and they both have a very pretty sheen to them.

I would love to hear some of your favorite Fall make-up products! I am always looking for a reason to make a Sephora order;) Have a great weekend everyone!

Fringe Detail

Dress: Everly (on sale!), Booties: Sam Edelman, Bag: Free People (old). Necklace: Kendra Scott, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
When I saw this dress during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last month I knew I had to have it! Obviously it's a little far in advance to be thinking about this, but I pictured myself wearing this in our engagement photos since I know I want to have them taken in mid-late October. I'm sure I will change my mind a million times but I do really like the idea. I love how flowy and effortless it is and the pattern is just so adorable for Fall!

I also have been waiting for what seems like forever to break out these Sam Edelman booties. I am definitely all over the fringe trend this season and these booties are perfect. They paired so well with this old Free People crossbody--they almost look like they came together! To sum it up, I am loving this boho look and think it's perfect for Fall.
