Sunny Weekend in Boston!

Happy Monday friends! Hope you had a great weekend. We had SUCH a fun one. Friday night, we went to the Beacon Hill part of Boston and grabbed dinner and drinks at Figs. This was a recommendation from Biana and it was absolutely AMAZING. The pizza was so good and we just loved the ambiance! I mean seriously...can we talk about this calamari pizza?

On Saturday we wanted to check out some of the suburbs around the city. Obviously it's way too early for us to decide if we want to settle here long-term but since I'm such a "burb" gal I wanted to see what some of our options might be if we do! First we went to the mall in one of the cities we visited and grabbed lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. As much as I LOVE trying new restaurants in the city, I also love a good chain haha! We kept driving through a few more of the little cities and check out this view from Quincy shore. So pretty! I was sad we didn't bring our swimsuits.

On Sunday, we met family friends for a brunch date at Five Horses Tavern which is in the Davis Square part of Somerville. I WISH I took pictures of my food because the waffles were just amazing! Definitely recommend if you are visiting the city and are near that part of town.
After brunch, we headed to North Boston for Saint Anthony's Feast which was a big festival in technically what I think is "Little Italy." They had a bunch of free food and also food you could buy, local vendors, performers, etc. It was really neat! We plan to definitely go back to this part of the city for dinner soon.

After that we decided to get away from the crowds and we went to the The Landing for margaritas! This is an outdoor bar that's right on the Boston Harbor and pretty much right next to the aquarium. Another stop I recommend if you're looking to booze a bit and enjoy the views!

Now it's Monday and back to the grind! Hope y'all have a great week. Cheers!

Sephora "Beauty Insider Appreciation" Sale Picks!

Happy Friday loves! Hope you had a great week and have some fun weekend plans ahead. My week was super busy which seems to be the usual these days. Tonight we're planning on getting dinner at a restaurant called Figs--this was a recommendation from the lovely Biana! Tomorrow I think we actually might check out some of the suburb areas surrounding the city. We've obviously only been here a month so we're not sure if we will be staying here long-term yet but since I'm such a suburban gal I wanted to see what our options might be if we do stay because I don't LOVE the area we're living in now. Sunday, we're grabbing brunch with family friends which I'm looking forward to!

Did this sale totally creep up on anyone else? I'm definitely not mad about it because I had a TON of refills of my favorite products that I needed to repurchase so it was great timing.

If you are VIB Rouge like myself you get first access to the sale from August 24-29th and 20% off with code YESROUGE. If you are VIB you can get access August 30-September 3rd and 15% off with code YESVIB. Beauty Insider members can also shop during that timeframe and get 10% off with code YESINSIDER. This is the perfect time to stock up on your favorites at a discounted price!

In this post I'm including some of my favorites and also the items that I will be re-purchasing/purchasing for the first time during the sale! Some of the most notable items that I recommend are the IT Cosmetics CC Cream--I'm obsessed and pretty much use it every day. Also the Caudalie serum and the Clinique moisturizer are amazing for you dry skin/sensitive skin ladies out there. They are a little pricey so it always hurts when I have to re-purchase but now is the perfect time to buy them!

Transitional Henley + FF Link-Up!

Top: No Rest for Bridget (unavailable online, identical here), Jeans: Topshop, Shoes: Red Dress Boutique, Bag: Etsy (similar here and here), Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Happy Wednesday loves! Hope you're having a great week so far. Ours has actually been more eventful than usual because we have one of Steven's friends in town for a conference and my aunt actually was here as well and stayed with us last night! It has been so nice to have so many visitors our first month in our new city.

I mentioned on Monday that my bestie Kate and I went shopping on Newbury Street on Saturday and when we discovered No Rest for Bridget all bets were off! We literally waited in the most ABSURD line to try things on because their stuff is THAT adorable. I definitely recommend checking out their site. I think they only have a few locations in the US and one is in Boston! I couldn't find this exact top to link but I found one almost identical from a different retailer. I am pretty much thermal/henley obsessed during early fall!

New Video--5 Ways to Style a Basic White Tee!

Happy Monday friends! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was definitely a BLAST! I had my best friend Kate in town which some of y'all might have seen on my Instagram and it was seriously so nice to have her here especially after feeling so homesick the last week. Friday, we walked around Quincy Market, the Public Market and the Boston Harbor area. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the city especially because it's so convenient to where we live! Friday night, we made our way to the Fort Point/Seaport part of the city for dinner at Lolita's which we have been to before and it still did not disappoint. It started to DOWNPOUR right before we got to the restaurant so that kind of stunk but I'm glad we were still able to make it. Saturday, we pretty much spent the whole morning/afternoon shopping on Newbury Street and grabbed brunch at Stephanie's on Newbury. If you're ever visiting, I definitely recommend eating there! It's SO cute and if you love shopping, it's a great place to refuel. Saturday night we had plans to go to the Public Garden and out for dinner but I got a horrible sinus headache so we ended up just ordering in and watching movies. No matter what we do, it's always a blast though!

I have been meaning to get this video posted for a few weeks so I'm glad I finally got it edited and uploaded. I'm planning to make a series of videos on how to style different basics so this is the first in that series! Let me know if you have ideas for other basics you would like to see me style. I'm thinking about either doing blazers or camisoles next!

Fall Transition Pieces You Need Now!

CardiganBlue SweaterMulesDenim SkirtThermalKnit TankBraletteBooties, Bag
Happy Friday friends! Hope you had a great week and have some fun weekend plans ahead. I'm so excited because my best friend Kate arrived in Boston to visit us last night! I'm logging off work early at noon so I can take her around the city and enjoy time with her. I'll definitely be sharing our weekend activities on Instagram so make sure to follow me there!

I don't know about you guys but I am DEFINITELY ready for fall fashion. I don't know that I'm ready for fall weather yet because that means the cold and I don't know what I'm in for here in New England! But, in the meantime, I thought I would share some pieces that you can definitely wear now depending how you style them. I'm all about the sweater and shorts look because I swear I'm always cold!

Paperbag Shorts + FF Link-Up!

Top: 1. State, Shorts: ASTR the Label, Wedges: Treasure & Bond, Bag: Louis Vuitton
Happy Wednesday friends! I'm sorry that I missed my usual post on Monday. We actually were in upstate NY all weekend visiting family for a reunion and by the time I got back we had a ton to do before the work week started! I also have been feeling a bit homesick lately so it has been hard to focus on content for the blog. This week I'm starting to feel a bit better though--I think seeing family helped a lot.

I have this cold-shoulder top in two different colors and I absolutely LOVE it. I just think it's such a pretty, feminine top that is trendy while still being very classic. They will also be awesome transitioning into fall! As far as the shorts go, I have to be honest that I ended up returning them. They are SO cute and fit so well but they are linen so they get unbelievably wrinkled even if you just bend over in them. I am such a freak about wrinkles so I knew they weren't going to work out! I ended up getting a similar pair from Zara (linked here) that I like SO much more and they fit better too!

Chic Summer Skirt + FF Link-Up!

Sweater: Zara (old, similar here), Skirt: by the way., Bag: Saint Laurent, Sandals: Sam Edelman
Happy Wednesday loves! Hope you're having a great week so far. Mine has been busy as usual but we're almost halfway done!

When I saw this skirt I thought that it was a really unique twist on a summer skirt! It can be worn casually because of the fraying or you can dress it up more like I did here. I'm actually not the biggest skirt person in general but this one is so comfortable and versatile! I think it would also look super chic paired with a black blazer and heels for an event.

Brand Spotlight: AUrate New York

Happy Monday friends--hope you had a great weekend! When AUrate New York reached out to me and asked if I would like to select an item from their beautiful range of jewelry, I was beyond excited! As I looked over their site and their GORGEOUS collections I immediately fell in love with so many of their exquisite pieces.

AUrate sells beautiful fine jewelry without concessions - which means real gold, at a fair price, ethically sourced, made in NYC. They have great prices especially for 14k gold, high-quality pieces and you can tell that the craftsmanship is just above and beyond! Aside from being ethically sourced, AUrate gives back by donating books to students and schools across NYC which I think is just amazing! Who doesn't love a brand that gives back?

If y'all have been following me for a while, you know I absolutely love dainty, classic jewelry. I go through stages of liking big statement pieces but the last year or so I have only consistently added timeless, quality jewelry to my collection. AUrate's items are all timeless while still being on trend!

I selected these classic 14k white gold huggies because I am just obsessed with the look of stacking little hoops. I have 3 piercings on each ear so these were a perfect addition and pair so well with all of the other earrings in my collection!

My ears do get somewhat irritated by some jewelry and I have left these earrings in overnight several times and it's like I'm not even wearing anything! That is one other way that I can tell the quality is just amazing on these little hoops.

I already have my eye on a few other pieces from their collection like these larger hoops that are just too cool and I also love the necklace versionThis necklace is also VERY me and would go with any outfit! Also for any future brides, they have a separate bridal collection with gorgeous and unique bands. I love how dainty and minimalist they are!

If y'all are in the market for some beautiful jewelry pieces that you would like to add to your collection or that you might want to gift to a friend or family member, I highly recommend you check out AUrate New York!

July Favorites! [Fashion, Beauty, Books + more]

Tote (pre-loved here), Necklace, Jacket, Book, Leggings, Caviar Stick, Booties
Happy Friday loves! Hope y'all had a great week and have some fun weekend plans ahead. Tonight we have reservations at a restaurant called Lolita which is in the Seaport part of the city! It has been recommended by several friends so I'm VERY excited to go. Tomorrow, I believe the day is going to be kind of crummy so I'm thinking maybe dinner and a movie? Sunday, we don't know our exact plans yet but it will definitely brunch and mimosas!

I thought today it would be fun to share with y'all some items I have been LOVING recently especially through the month of July!

My first favorite is the Louis Vuitton Neverfull--this was a dream bag purchase and I finally bought it pre-loved from Fashionphile back in June! I ended up selling my Chloe Marcie and purchasing the LV Neverfull as my everyday bag. The Chloe Marcie is a great bag but the leather is VERY heavy and the shape just isn't practical. I absolutely love how durable the Neverfull is and how much you can toss in it. I am trying to keep mine tidy and organized though...for now!

This Astrid & Miyu necklace is GORGEOUS and it's the perfect dainty piece that I have been wearing every single day. This has quickly become a new favorite jewelry brand for me! I just ordered a pair of little huggie hoops from them a couple of weeks ago.

Though this jacket isn't getting a ton of wear now, it's one of those items where as soon as you take it out of the box, you fall instantly in love. The quality is amazing and I love the neutral color I have already worn it once out to eat because I'm always cold so you can get some wear out of it now with a pair of shorts!

I'm not going to get into this book too much because I plan to do a book review soon on the blog but omg...can't contain how much I LOVED it. If you are looking for ANY book to read now, get this one!

I have been working out a lot since the move but aside from that I have just been living in the Luluemon Align Leggings. They are just as comfortable and flattering as everyone says and totally worth the price!

I have loved Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks for years but I used to only use the shimmery shades. Just recently I discovered two matte shades "Au Naturale" and "Caramel" and they are perfect for an easy, every day eye look!

These booties were my favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchase! You can wear them now and I can guarantee I will be wearing them plenty throughout fall and winter too. They go with everything!

Have a great weekend loves!
