Earthy Basics (On Sale) + FF Link-Up!

Sweater: BP, Jeans: J. Crew, Booties: ANA, Bag: Louis Vuitton, Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Happy Wednesday friends! It has definitely been an interesting and busy week so far. It also has dropped about 20 degrees from last week which has been an adjustment! It's giving me all the fall feelings though so I'm not mad about it--especially since we head to the Berkshires next weekend. I also filmed a fall fashion haul this past weekend and just need to get it edited and uploaded to my YouTube channel. I'm hoping to have it up for y'all next Monday! There are definitely LOTS of goodies included.

This sweater was one I included in my haul and I just can't get enough of it! It really is just such an interesting color. It's somewhere between green and gold and yellow and even though it is a very unique shade, I find it to be very flattering on my skintone. It also comes in a few other colors and is on major sale right now!

My Favorite Sunglasses!

Outfit Details: Sunglasses, Plaid Top, Jeans, Earrings, Booties (old, similar here), Bag: Etsy (similar here)

Happy Monday friends! Hope you had a great weekend. My in-laws were in town visiting so we had a blast showing them around Boston! Friday while I was at work Steven took them to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall and then that night we went out to dinner in the North End at our favorite Italian spot, Antico Forno. Saturday, they explored Cambridge then I met them at the Public Garden/Beacon street for the afternoon. The weather was seriously GORGEOUS but I have to say, on Sunday, it was actually pretty cold! It's definitely feeling like full-blown fall here.

Today I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite sunglasses in my collection especially because a few are marked down right now! I pretty much have the same go-to pairs that I always wear. They're in all different price ranges and are all great quality. My newest pair in the photograph above are also currently on sale for less than $60!
Clockwise: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

The Fall Dress You NEED + FF Link-Up!

Dress: Lira Clothing (sold out, similar here and here), Booties: Vince Camuto (old, identical here), Bag: Gucci, Hat: Free People
Happy Wednesday friends! Hope you're having a great week so far. I'm definitely ready for things to start calming down. I feel like it has been really hard to keep up with blogging lately which is why I have missed the last several Friday posts. I'm really hoping October I can start getting back to the 3 days a week schedule but for now I think 2 days is the maximum I can commit to. We're excited because this week my in-laws are visiting us in Boston! We can't wait to tour them around our favorite parts of the city.

I LOVE a good dark floral print and the one on this dress is so pretty and perfect for fall. Unfortunately I think it is sold out right now (although if it does come back in stock I will share on IG stories) but I did post a few that are very similar. I love the boho style of it and that it has longer sleeves--perfect as it starts getting colder out. If you want to transition this dress even more into late fall/winter it would be SO cute paired with some OTK boots!

Recent Purchases - Fall Transition Edition

Turtleneck, Booties, Plaid Shirt, Skirt, Thermal Tank, Sleeveless Sweater, Hat
Happy Monday friends! Hope you had a great weekend. Ours was SO fun enjoying what might be the last of the summer weather here in Boston! Friday evening, I met Steven for our weekly dinner and drinks. We ate at a restaurant called State Street Provisions near the Boston Harbor. It was definitely good but not my favorite of the places we've tried! Saturday, we grabbed brunch at Granary Tavern also near the Harbor and then met up with an old boss of mine who was stopping in Boston on a cruise with his wife. It was so nice to see him and really spur of the moment! After that we watched the new Solo movie and it was pretty good. I'm not a big Star Wars girl but I REALLY liked this one! Sunday, we got lunch and walked around the Davis Square area and stumbled upon the Somerville Flea Market. It was pretty neat and just another excuse to enjoy the warm weather! After that we went to a beer garden in Somerville for a few drinks then to our favorite restaurant in Somerville--the River Bar. We just love it because it's pretty much all outdoors and has a gorgeous view of the water--plus they make an amazing Aperol Spritz which never hurts!

In preparation for the fall weather, I've been stocking up on a few transitional pieces for my wardrobe. I feel like this year that rust/burnt orange color will be dominating my fall wardrobe! I don't know why but anything I see in that color, I want to purchase. I'm also loving neutrals as always and I'm more into plaid this year than I have been in the past. What colors are striking you for fall?!

The Best Basic Fall Tee + FF Link-Up!

Top: BP, Jeans: J. Crew, Hat: Free People, Booties: Old (similar here), Bag: Etsy (similar here and here)
Happy Wednesday friends! Hope you have had a great week so far. I don't know what it has been about the last month or so but we have just been incredibly busy at work! We also have been way more "adventurous" on the weekends since moving up here haha. When we lived in the DC area we would go out for dinner and drinks and such but while we've been in Boston so far I feel like we have been making a lot of day trips into different parts of the city and also outside of the city which has been so fun! It's definitely helping us to really get to know the area and some of our favorite spots which I feel like is key when you're trying to make a new place feel like home!

I am all about good basics which y'all know already and this tee is just the cutest! Not only am I obsessed with this rust color for fall but I just love the flared detail of the sleeves and the high neckline. I think it just makes it look a little more elevated than your average t-shirt. Also, if you guys are into hats and are looking for a perfect one for fall, I am obsessed with this new one I got from Free People! It's a great color and I love the boho look of it!

What I've Been Eating in a Day!

Happy Monday friends! Hope you had a great weekend. My mom and aunt came into town to visit so we had a blast taking them around the city! We have been lucky to have a lot of visitors in Boston so far. I'm just going to jump right into today's post since it's going to be a long one!

Today I just wanted to share what I've been eating lately because I feel like I've gotten into a pretty healthy routine with my diet. Obviously I still occasionally have a bad day and eat an entire bag of gummy bears but don't we all?! Let me know if you like these kinds of posts in the comments below. I'm thinking about adding more diet/fitness content to the blog!

Breakfast

The main breakfast I go for during the week is just coconut yogurt (since regular yogurt hurts my stomach) with fruit and sometimes I will add granola in the mix. Lately I've been trying to watch my carbs so I have been skipping out on the granola but there are some really great paleo granola options out there! It's just so easy and I never really get tired of it.

-OR-

Gluten-free waffles are SO good and I almost always pick up a box when I'm at the store. It's just nice to have them as a treat on the weekends topped with fruit and reduced-sugar syrup!

-OR-

Bagel thins with avocado and egg and Everything But the Bagel seasoning from TJ's is an AMAZING combo! Highly recommend. It's relatively low carb and you get a good amount of protein from the egg. Sometimes I'll do just an egg white to lower my fat intake.

Lunch

-OR-

With lunch I am such a creature of habit. I pretty much alternate between the same two things OR if we have leftovers sometimes I will eat those but typically it's either a very simple tuna salad or a turkey wrap on a whole wheat tortilla. I usually put the tortilla on the stove for a bit with a little bit of coconut oil to make it crispy but if you're working in the office it still tastes just as great without that step. On my wrap I usually do turkey, lettuce, sprouts, a little bit of mayo and tomatoes.

Dinner

LOVE shrimp tacos on corn tortillas. I usually just saute up some shrimp and season it with cumin, paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper and garlic powder for the perfect taco blend. I put the shrimp on a corn tortilla usually with some avocado, lettuce, shredded cheese and salsa. Super easy!

This sweet potato/quinoa casserole was DELICIOUS and I recipe is via Fit Foodie Finds. Ever since finding her Instagram, I have been really loving her recipes. Definitely recommend checking it out and definitely trying out this casserole. It was VERY easy and we had leftovers for a few days!

Grilled chicken salad is another go-to because it's so easy, healthy and it's nice to make the chicken in bulk because I can grab it and heat it up for lunch for a few days after! I love to top it with either Greek Yogurt Ranch or an Annie's dressing. They are really tasty!

When we go out to eat, my go-to order is always a lobster roll a.) because they are delicious and b.) because I'm on a mission to figure out who has the best lobster rolls in New England haha! It's ambitious I know but someone has to do it! So far James Hook Co. is my favorite but I have heard great things about Row 34 so that's next on the list.
