Happy Wednesday loves! This week has already been super hectic and I'm ready for the weekend. Only 3 more days right?! Anyway--on Saturday, I'm going back to the bridal salon to see/try on my dress again because 2 of my bridesmaids will be in town. I can't wait to wear it again and I'm so excited to show them! In preparation for that, I'm trying to be a little strict on my diet this week and get in some heavy work-outs. That is what sort of inspired this post! Also, it was super rainy and gross out which didn't make for cute outfit pictures this weekend.
I just wanted to talk a little bit about my health and fitness goals so I'm in the best possible shape I can be for my wedding! Part of me thinks if I blog a little bit about it, I'll hold myself more accountable lol. My goal isn't really to lose weight--mostly just to lose fat in some areas and gain muscle.
Fitness Regimen:
Work-out 4 days a week (this seems to be the most realistic for my schedule)
Day 1-solely legs/glutes (ex. squats, lunges, leg press, seated leg curls, weighted glute bridge, barbell deadlifts, stiff leg kickbacks, hip abductor/adductor, calf raise, etc)
Day 2-30 minutes of cardio (treadmill or elliptical), abs
Day 3-30 minutes of cardio (treadmill or elliptical), arms/back (ex. hammer curls, seated tricep extension, one arm dumbbell row, barbell curls, lat pull-down, seated cable curl, etc.)
Day 4-I'm calling this the "fun day" because it's the day I attend a group class at the gym--usually either spin (my favorite), yoga, or bodypump (which is a strength training class).
I'll talk more about my diet plan in another post but to be honest, I'm still trying to find a plan that works for me! I would say that is definitely my biggest struggle because I LOVE carbs. Some people love sweets but for me it's super hard to lower my carb intake. Blame it on my Italian heritage!
I hope this was sort of interesting to read! I like reading fitness blogs and tips because it's fun to get more ideas and it's also super motivating to see others going through the same journey!
