Blush Scarf

Scarf: Asos, Shirt: Stem, Jeans: Joe's, Booties: BP, Earrings: Kendra Scott
Happy Monday loves! Hope your weekend was wonderful. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for today's post! This weekend was a fun one--I got to spend time with my bridesmaids on Saturday and show them my dress. I loved seeing their reactions and also just LOVED getting to wear my dress again! Saturday evening, I took Steven out to eat to celebrate his birthday and Sunday we celebrated with my family. The weather was absolutely gorgeous as you can tell from these pictures. I think it was around 64 degrees! Also--did anyone else stay up until midnight just to see if Leo won the Oscar? I sure did and am SO happy he won!!

I mentioned this blush scarf in Friday's post as one of my favorite recent purchases. I am SO in love with it! The color is perfection and I love that it keeps you cozy but it's also lightweight enough going into spring. I have already worn it 4 or 5 times and only got it 2 weeks ago! Also--this Stem burnout sweatshirt is an awesome basic piece for your wardrobe. It's great quality and I think it's just adorable! So great to wear if you're on the go!

Top 5 Recent Purchases

Happy Friday ladies! Linking up with Amanda from Meet @ The Barre for today's post! Are y'all as glad this week is over as I am? It was a rocky week at work so I'm definitely ready for time with friends and family this weekend. It's also Steven's birthday on Saturday so I'm looking forward to celebrating with him after trying on the dress!

I thought this would be a fun post to do every few months talking about my favorite recent purchases. These items are ones I have bought from January on and have been wearing/using on repeat because I love them so much!

1.)  These BP booties are my obsession. They go with almost any outfit, they're comfortable, and I love the color. I bought them in "Grey Leather."
2.) This Asos scarf is just gorgeous--I plan to style it on the blog next week! Y'all know how much I love blush and this scarf is the perfect shade, size, and style.
3.) This Sincerely Jules tee (photographed above) is SO stinkin' cute. I love the print and how it pairs under a big chunky sweater or just on it's own once it warms up a bit.
4.) I am the biggest fan of this Panacea necklace! I talked last week about how much I'm loving turquoise and this necklace definitely makes a statement. I will say...it's super heavy but it's awesome quality and looks so cute over just a simple top or dress!
5.) If you couldn't tell, I'm a sucker for a brown lip. These new Amuse Bouche lipsticks from Bite Beauty are so creamy and I'm basically obsessed with all of the colors. My new FAVORITE lipstick is "Honeycomb." I love pairing it with this lip liner in "Iconic Nude."

I would love to hear some products you're loving in the comments! Have a wonderful weekend!

Pre-Wedding Health & Fitness

Top: Lululemon, Pants: Lululemon, Hat: Lululemon, Shoes: Nike
Happy Wednesday loves! This week has already been super hectic and I'm ready for the weekend. Only 3 more days right?! Anyway--on Saturday, I'm going back to the bridal salon to see/try on my dress again because 2 of my bridesmaids will be in town. I can't wait to wear it again and I'm so excited to show them! In preparation for that, I'm trying to be a little strict on my diet this week and get in some heavy work-outs. That is what sort of inspired this post! Also, it was super rainy and gross out which didn't make for cute outfit pictures this weekend.

I just wanted to talk a little bit about my health and fitness goals so I'm in the best possible shape I can be for my wedding! Part of me thinks if I blog a little bit about it, I'll hold myself more accountable lol. My goal isn't really to lose weight--mostly just to lose fat in some areas and gain muscle.

Fitness Regimen:
Work-out 4 days a week (this seems to be the most realistic for my schedule)
Day 1-solely legs/glutes (ex. squats, lunges, leg press, seated leg curls, weighted glute bridge, barbell deadlifts, stiff leg kickbacks, hip abductor/adductor, calf raise, etc)
Day 2-30 minutes of cardio (treadmill or elliptical), abs
Day 3-30 minutes of cardio (treadmill or elliptical), arms/back (ex. hammer curls, seated tricep extension, one arm dumbbell row, barbell curls, lat pull-down, seated cable curl, etc.)
Day 4-I'm calling this the "fun day" because it's the day I attend a group class at the gym--usually either spin (my favorite), yoga, or bodypump (which is a strength training class).

I'll talk more about my diet plan in another post but to be honest, I'm still trying to find a plan that works for me! I would say that is definitely my biggest struggle because I LOVE carbs. Some people love sweets but for me it's super hard to lower my carb intake. Blame it on my Italian heritage!

I hope this was sort of interesting to read! I like reading fitness blogs and tips because it's fun to get more ideas and it's also super motivating to see others going through the same journey!

Knit & Stripes

Dress: Vila, Sweater: Sun & Shadow (sold out, similar here), Booties: Aldo, Necklace: Vanessa Mooney
Happy Monday lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Linking up with Biana from B Loved BostonFizz & Frosting, and Style Elixir for today's post! Friday we just stayed in and relaxed at home--it felt so good to have no plans and to sleep in! On Saturday, we got some amazing sushi with one of my bridesmaids, Nicole, and her hubby. Sunday was spent running errands and getting stuff done around our place. We had no groceries since we were out of town last weekend so we needed to stock up!

I got this dress from Asos on Friday and am in LOVE! It's SO soft and it fits perfectly--it's not too tight or too short which is awesome because I can probably get away with wearing it to work. I feel like a striped dress is such a closet essential and this one has short sleeves so it will transition perfectly into spring. I can already picture wearing it with some colorful jewelry and sandals!

Color Crush: Turquoise

Vanessa Mooney Necklace, Scarf, Tassel Necklace, Earrings, Bag, Heels, Mirror, Clutch, Candle
Happy Friday y'all! Hope you had a wonderful week. This one was busy but flew by since I really was only at the office 3 days. Since it has been busy at work and we spent Monday/Tuesday traveling back from SC, I'm super exhausted and looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

I don't know why but a couple weeks ago I started getting OBSESSED with turquoise--especially turquoise jewelry. I've always loved the color but maybe because we're getting closer to spring, my obsession is on steroids. I just bought the Vanessa Mooney necklace on the top left! It's such a gorgeous piece and I feel like it will be a great, colorful accent for any neutral outfit. I'm also lusting after the Baublebar tassel earrings--they may be next on my list. I think pairing any of the turquoise accessories with just a plain white tee, jeans and rocking a fuchsia lip would be spring perfection!

I hope you have an awesome and relaxing weekend!

Cream Blazer

Blazer: Banana Republic, Tank: Silence + Noise, Jeans: Topshop, Shoes: Aldo, Bag: Tory Burch, Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Happy hump day loves! It's so weird being back at work. Even though I technically was only "off" on Friday, it felt so long which I guess is a good thing! We hit horrible weather coming back from SC on Monday so we ended up crashing at Steven's friends house in Raleigh then finishing the drive Tuesday morning. I wish the weather had been nicer in Raleigh because I would have loved to see the area. Raleigh is one of the areas Steven and I are considering after he finishes his PhD next year!

Anyway--how ADORABLE is this cream blazer? I am just absolutely in love with it! It's perfect for work but also so cute if you want to dress it down a bit. The fuzzy material makes it easier to transition into a casual look if you want. The fit is great and it's on super sale right now! [Btw--the tank under is definitely a black/grey color. Not sure why it photographed almost blue!]

Mint & Grey

Sweater: Caslon, Scarf: Forever 21, Jeans: BlankNYC (Sold out, similar here), Shoes: BP
Happy Monday, loves! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and if you're off today, I hope you're enjoying it. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for today's post! As y'all are reading this, we will be on the road back from South Carolina and probably driving in some pretty bad weather. We had such a fun weekend visiting Steven's family! It was the first time we've seen everyone since we got engaged so it was fun to show them my ring and talk about wedding plans so far. We also got to meet Steven's niece, Charlotte, for the first time and she was just the cutest thing ever! Now, back to reality.

I LOVE the color of this sweater and the material is incredibly soft. Mint and grey is one of my favorite color combos! I think it's so soft and feminine. These grey jeans are sold out but I linked to a Paige Denim pair that looks awesome!

Casual(ish) V-Day Date

Sweater: Trouve, Jeans: Topshop, Bag: Tory Burch, Heels: Zara
Woohoo it's Wednesday! Only one more day left in the week for me! I don't think I mentioned this in Monday's post, but we are going to South Carolina to visit Steven's family for the long weekend. It has been forever since we've seen them and it will be our very first time meeting Steven's niece, Charlotte, who was born in November! We're leaving Thursday evening and driving halfway to Greensboro where we'll stay overnight. It's so much easier if we break the drive up a bit because it typically takes about 9 hours! With that being said, I'm probably going to miss Friday's post since we'll be on the road but I'll be back to my normal schedule on Monday.

As much as I love getting dressed up for date night, Steven and I are super low-key especially when it comes to Valentine's Day so I thought this outfit would be perfect for our typical plans. We usually just go out to dinner and a movie! Since it's still pretty freezing here in DC, I can just throw on a black coat and will be super cozy.

Hope y'all have a wonderful rest of your week and enjoy your long weekend if you have Monday off!

Grey Moto Jacket

Moto Jacket: BB Dakota (sold out, similar here), Top: Silence + Noise, Jeans:  Joe's Jeans (on sale!), Booties: BP,    Necklace: Kendra Scott, Sunglasses: Karen Walker. Crossbody: Rebecca Minkoff
Happy Monday loves! Hope you enjoyed your weekend and Super Bowl Sunday. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston and Style Elixir for today's post! My weekend was super uneventful--I pretty much just lounged around the apartment and got a TON of sleep trying to get over this cold. I feel almost back to 100%. It's amazing what sleep can do for the body!

I'm super bummed because I saw this BB Dakota moto jacket is sold out again. I saw it on Shopbop's website a while back and it sold out before I could order it. I was so excited when it popped back up on their site! I'll definitely let y'all know if I see it on there again but I also linked to another super cute grey moto jacket. The reason I love this one so much is it is SO soft.

Also, I know I have talked about how important good basics are a million times but I really believe it's so important to have good staples! I saw Megan from For All Things Lovely recommended these swing tank tops from Urban Outfitters so I decided to order it in black and ivory. I'm so glad I did! They are so comfortable and great quality. I also love that they're a little longer. If you need good tanks to go under sweaters, jackets, or even to wear on their own during the summer, these are perfection!

V-Day Date Attire

Dress: Vince Camuto, Sunglasses: Prada, Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Earrings: Baublebar, Clutch: Inge Christopher, Lipstick: YSL # 6, Polish: Sephora Formula X "Tea Rose Pink"
Happy Friday loves! Hope you had a wonderful week. I'm so glad this one is over! I have been sick since Monday so I just need a weekend of relaxation and sleeping in!

[Before getting into this V-day look, if you guys like the Chicwish coat/sweater I wore in my last post and don't want to wait so long for the shipping, I found a dupe at Nordstrom here]

I wanted to put together a Valentine's outfit that was super feminine and classic. This dress from Vince Camuto had my heart right away! When I was putting this together, it really must have been wishful thinking though, because there is no way it will be warm enough in the DC area for this outfit. If you are in colder climate, this look would be adorable with a coat like this one and stockings to keep your legs warm. Also--how stinkin' cute is this Inge Christopher clutch? I'm obsessed! The Baublebar earrings are to die for too. I have loved every single thing Baublebar has come out with lately--especially their earrings!

What are your plans for Valentine's day?! Have a great weekend!

Chicwish Coat

Coat: Chicwish, Shirt: Brandy Melville, Pants: J. Crew, Shoes: Hunter, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Happy Wednesday! Hope y'all are enjoying your week so far. We have had some warmer weather here in the DC metro and the snow is gradually disappearing. Thank goodness! As much as I love this snowy background, I am definitely over it. I have been feeling really under the weather since Monday so I'm taking it easy and working from home today. This is the second time I've been sick in the last 2 months! No fun.

I ordered this Chicwish coat last month and really love it! I will say that I couldn't believe how long it took to get delivered. I knew it would be a while but it took almost 5 weeks in total. I felt like that was a little ridiculous but it was worth the wait! If any of you follow Alexandrea Garza's vlogs, she wears this coat all the time and I can see why. It's super cozy but lightweight enough to just wear as a sweater. I feel like this will be the perfect transition piece for Spring!

Sorel Snow Boots

Shirt/Dress: BB Dakota, T-Shirt: Leith (sold out, similar here), Leggings: Lululemon, Boots: Sorel, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Hats: 1717 Olive
Happy Monday loves! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston for today's post! I am still on cloud nine from Saturday because....I said YES TO THE DRESS y'all! I went into the appointment just thinking I would get some ideas and left with my wedding dress ordered! It's so funny how it happened--the dress I picked was one I never would have pictured myself liking and it was the very first one I tried on. The consultant pulled it off the rack and I was hesitant to even try it on. It looked beautiful on the hanger but just wasn't at all what I pictured. Boy oh boy am I glad I gave it a chance! As soon as I put it on, I just felt so beautiful and when I came out of the dressing room to show everyone, their reactions were priceless. I tried on 7-8 other dresses after that one but we all just knew that my mind had been made up! As soon as she put the veil on, I was sold. I can't wait for the big day so I can show y'all pictures!

Okay, enough gushing! I ordered these Sorel snow boots and of course they didn't come in until after Snowzilla. That's okay--there is still a ton of snow around Virginia as you can see so these already are getting a ton of use. They are SO adorable and comfortable! I seriously think they might be more comfortable than Uggs. Yes, I said it! If you guys want to invest in some good snow boots for the winter, definitely check these out. They're worth every penny!
