My Updated Skin Care Routine

Happy Monday friends! Finally trying to get back to regular posting on Mondays after a crazy month. October was such a blur between work being incredibly busy, starting the homebuying process, and the election. I feel like we're getting to where we can finally breathe again. I'll have more updates on the homebuying soon!

Sephora is having their big Holiday Savings Event and I scooped up a few great products. I have been way more focused on building up my skincare over the last year instead of buying a ton of new makeup products. While I don't try new skincare often because of how sensitive my skin is, I have incorporated some newer products and I am really happy with my current routine. I think y'all would love these products too! Today is the last day to save up to 20% so don't wait if you have your eye on something!

Morning Routine

Step 1: Purity Face Wash -  I have used this face wash for probably close to a decade and have no plans on switching it up. It's a very gentle cleanser but does a great job of taking off your makeup. If you have sensitive skin, you will love this product.

Step 2: Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid Toner - Another product that I have used for several years. This product really brightens and tightens my skin while hydrating at the same time. I stopped using this toner at one point and noticed my skin didn't look as firm and supple. I immediately went back to it and have been dedicated to it ever since!

Step 3: Perricone MD Vitamin C Serum - This is one of the newer products in my routine and so far I am loving it. I have been very into reading more about skincare and I read that Vitamin C is one of the key products you should use for anti-aging and hyperpigmentation. I've noticed my skin looks so much brighter and even since using this product. I will say I don't LOVE the smell but it's worth it!

Step 4: Origins GinZing Moisturizer - This is another one I have used for close to a decade and while I have been tempted to switch it up in previous years, I just love how rejuvenating this moisturizer feels in the morning. Also, if y'all have never smelled this product before...it is one of the best smelling products on the market. It smells like oranges and flowers and I just look forward to applying it every AM!

Step 5: Innisfree Daily Sunscreen - I'm not going to lie, I only started using a sunscreen on my face about 4 or 5 months ago (I know...shame shame). While I haven't compared this product to many others, I will say that I love how lightweight it is and it's hydrating without feeling greasy. The price is also great!

Evening Routine

Step 1 - I remove my makeup with the same Purity face wash. For my eye makeup specifically, I use this micellar water and have for years.

Step 2 - Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Peel Pads - Y'all, I have only had this product for about 2 weeks and I have never loved a product so much so quickly. I see an immediate difference in my skin. If you struggle with uneven skintone, texture, dullness, etc. you would truly love these. I honestly think anyone would benefit from adding these into their routine! I use them every other night and you rinse your face after using the wipes all over. Your skin will feel like you just had a facial!

Step 3 - Josie Maran Argan Oil - A longtime favorite product of mine and one that I think really saved my face from eczema patches. I have had eczema pretty much my entire adult life and before using this product I would get very bad eczema patches on my cheeks. I haven't had eczema on my face in years and I think a lot of it is because of this product! If you are dry, you definitely should use an oil.

Step 4 - Clinique Moisture Surge - I feel like I have said this way too much in this post but this is another product I've used for about a decade. I have dabbled in another moisturizers but I immediately go back to this one because none make my skin feel as hydrated and soothed at the end of the day. It's also great for sensitive skin and paired with the argan oil, you can't beat it.
