2020 Lessons Learned + FF Link-Up!

Coat, Scarf, Hat, Boots

Hi friends! I hope you guys had a great Christmas and all stayed safe & healthy. I can't believe we are finally closing out this strange and pivotal year. 2020 has felt like 1 very long month and also 5 years at the same time. The truth is for me, and I'm sure for many of you, this has been a year of reflection and personal growth and for that I am grateful.

Even though this year was so difficult for so many people, I feel thankful every single day for my family & friends, my job, my health. I don't take those things lightly because at the end of the day, what else really matters? I pray every day for those who endured such hardship in 2020 and I feel hopeful that we're on the verge of a new & better chapter.

Honestly, I'm struggling to make goals for 2021 since many (but not all) of my 2020 goals were squashed by COVID. This year I wanted to focus on 5 lessons learned that I will carry into 2021.

-Put your energy and effort into relationships that build you up and make you better

-Work to live but don't live to work

-Don't be afraid to say the wrong thing--allow yourself to take in criticism, reflect & learn from it

-Less is more (especially when it comes to spending/material things)

-Living your life fully doesn't have to be all about grand experiences. It really is about small but meaningful experiences and being present in those moments every day.

Happy New Year friends! Thank you so much for following along here on the blog another year and for your kind support. It is so appreciated!

  4. These are great lessons and I love how simply put them. I am also struggling to make goals for 2021, but rather just continue to build upon the things you mentioned here today. Happy New Year and thanks for sharing this space.

  5. These are great lessons! I think the biggest thing I learned this year was to plan for the worst, and by that I mean being prepared for every possible scenario. Thanks for sharing, and happy new year!
